Today I took a drive up to Eklutna Lake, a lake in the Chugach Mountains northeast of Anchorage. It is the principle source of fresh water for Anchorage. Eklutna Lake sits 10 miles off mile 26 of the Glenn Hwy. It’s quite a beautiful place, and while I was disappointed that it was in the shade, the tops of the mountains were in the sun and the water was almost perfectly calm, showing wonderful reflections. Here’s a couple taken with my Sony RX100 M7. No editing, SOOC. Best quality is in download.

Good morning, photphile, and thank you. I kind of do, too. By the way, I got that one published on our local NBC station for “Pic of the Day” on their website, and they gave me the credit for the photo.

Thank you UTMike. Glad you liked those. And yes, I thought that one had a bit of an artistic bent to it. I took that one “just for grins,” and it turned out kinda neat.
