It's Optech for me, all the way! Best of luck.

Love OpTech straps. Use them on my camera and my bag.

Peak Design SL-AS-3 Slide Camera Strap In blue and red. They are only slightly narrower than a seatbelt and the strap is the same strength and softness of a seatbelt. I don’t like hooking something to my tripod mount, but like to carry cross body. This strap was perfect. It is comfortable, easily adjusted on the go, doesn’t slip and parts are replaceable should one of the attachments wear out one day. It is built like a tank, but is very comfortable. I don’t expect to need or want to replace it in the next several years.

Because spending the extra money, and raising the selling price, to include what someone at the camera maker thinks is the most decent, best-all-around-strap that everyone will love is a pointless exercise. Every strap maker has numerous choices and as you can see on UHH, every user has their favorite. You MIGHT think a strap that the camera maker provides is ideal, but 99% of the rest of us might not, and a lot of straps would be wasted.

A plain, cheap strap in the camera box gives you SOMETHING to use while you decide what you really want, and it did not cost a significant amount of money.

Peak Design for me. It'll be a cold in July when I use a sling attachment such as Black Rapid.

I also recommend Peak Design Straps, not only for all of the reasons noted in posts throughout this thread, but also because they offer a range of parts like Anchor Links that enable customization. I am writing a brief paper with pictures about how these parts can be used to make a more robust attachment to a DSLR and will post it either here or in a new topic.

They also have a really nice dual sling strap system, that really does a great job of spreading the weight out across your shoulders instead of on your neck.

I've used this after seeing Bob with his and two cameras with different lenses. I've also used it to support my Mamiya RB67 (a heavy beast). I've adjusted the straps so that the waist level finder is at the correct distance and can "hand hold" the thing down to 1/8 second shutter speed.

Nothing but good thing to say about the OpTech system.
