I’m looking for a professional system that allows me to carry camera over the shoulder and not around the neck. I shoot mainly a 6D MarkII and a tamron 150-600G2 lens and several smaller lenses for portrait and landscape. I want to be able to use tripod or monopod without having to remove stap every time. Do they make such an item

Optech Sling Straps are wonderful, shock absorbent, flexible, and inexpensive.

I’ve used Black Rapid straps for years and am very satisfied.

I use the Peak Design Sling but, straps are a personal preference thing. Some of the high points of the PD Sling is super fast on and off, easily adjustable and wide enough to disperse the weight of a D850 with 24-70.

UPP straps. Light. Strong. Do not slip on shoulder (a big deal for me!) Have used for various size/weight cameras from D810 with Nikon zooms to Leica M to Olympus.

You have an expensive camera. Your camera deserves this

I use the Optech sling, with a 7d and the 100-400 attached. A heavy set up with no problems attaching it to a monopod

I have to agree Peak Design makes excellent products. Very well made and versatile.

Here's a follow-up question: Why don't camera makers include a decent strap with their cameras that cost thousands of dollars? I think we can all agree the provided straps are horrible.

In response to the specific question, I find the Peak Design sling strap works well for me. It has easy on and off connectors and can attach to to the camera body in several different ways. I only own one strap but because the connectors are so easy to snap on and off I can use it on both my camera bodies. I previously used a Black Rapid sling but never really liked the way it attached to the tripod mount on the base of the camera. The camera just seemed to bounce around at my side too much.
