OOPs!
Sorry that was actually Ronald Reagan.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986—signed into law by President Ronald Reagan on November 6, 1986—granted amnesty to about 3 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.

The worst possible move Reagan could have made at the time. Like the cafe giving in to Wimpy and his promises to 'Gladly pay you Tuesday', Reagan signed the bill which had NO chance of seeing a veto overridden when Democrats swore to move on border security. This, of course never happened. Reagan SHOULD have vetoed the bill, and publicly promised to sign it AFTER border security was addressed.

This particular interplay is why Republicans have steadfastly refused to even deliberate new immigration policy without border security being covered first. The old 'fool me once' scenario......

So your defense is: It's not Reagans fault that Reagan signed the bill.
That's interesting.

Dr. Kelli Ward 🇺🇸

We have to learn from our history...President Reagan’s biggest regret as president was granting #amnesty & then trusting Congress to deliver on border security. It didn’t happen then, and it’s not going to happen now...#WallNotDACA #AmericaFirst #MAGAhttp://www.breitbart.com/radio/2018/01/27/kelli-ward-ronald-reagans-biggest-regret-was-granting-amnesty-and-trusting-congress-on-border-security/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

Nope, it was Reagan's fault for trusting Congress to live up to their part of the deal. So what does this have to do with today?

As noted, he cut a deal with the D party which involved securing the border and they absolutely have refused to live up to their end.

How many illegal immigrants did Obama grant amnesty?

So your defense is that Reagan was stupid.
I can go with that.

WE AGREE ON SOMETHING! Reagan was stupid! He should have known better than to trust the dems to honor their side of the deal.

Well, he did have dementia in his last year or two. Still better cognitive abilities than Trump, but demented, just the same.

BTW, Hope you like that tax he put on your social security check.

Poor Frank ... he thought he had a gotcha moment and all he did was pieface himself. Again.

That's odd. It's subject to federal income tax so you really need to check that out.
Either that or you're just a liar.

Or it's possible you're living only on your ss check. I know you republicans love those handouts.

For the 2019 tax year, single filers with a combined income of $25,000 to $34,000 must pay income taxes on up to 50% of their Social Security benefits. ... For married couples filing jointly, you will pay taxes on up to 50% of your Social Security income if you have a combined income of $32,000 to $44,000
