So because they are members here that makes them experts on the load bearing capabilities of the tripod mount? I don’t mean to be snarky but just because someone here says it is so doesn’t make it so. Honestly The in the years I have been on this site the subject has come up over and over. As I said above I have never seen any first hand account of a failure. Now that does not mean it hasn’t happened I am just saying every time I ask one of the “experts” that knows so much they can not provide a first hand account. Additionally Nikon sells the BR strap with their branding on it on their site. What does that say?
