I ordered the Canon 17-40 f4 because it was on sale from $800 to $500 at BnH. Received a text that it had been delivered yesterday, but I was at home and so I knew it wasn't. Called BnH and Fedex and reported it. About an hour later the driver comes to the house with the package.
Last month it was something else they dropped off at a wrong address. But don't remember what.
A couple of years ago they delivered an Apple MacBook Pro to an address in another town.
I think I am done with them.
Anyone else having issues with them?
I have had terrible service from FedEx. Wish I could avoid them 100%, but some vendors (such as B&H) have contracts with them and won’t ship any other way (or they will use other ways, but they charge extra for them).
BnH wanted about $45 to ship the lens with UPS so I did Fedex for the free shipping. I am ordering a microscope soon and will probably pay the extra shipping for UPS.

Fedex sucks, if they deliver it they never ring the doorbell like UPS does. Their trucks sound like garbage trucks.
I go with UPS especially with less expensive insurance.
USPS is fast, but have had damaged packages sent by them.

Never any issues whatsoever.
I ordered some lens hoods and filters about six weeks ago from B&H with Fed-Ex. I was watching the tracking and it seemed to be hung up in Hagerstown, MD for about seven days. Finally Fed-Ex tracking admitted that the package was smashed and un-deliverable. They did not move very fast on reporting it. Fortunately B&H sent out a replacement package quickly after I (not Fed-Ex) notified them of the loss in-transit.

The only (non) issue I have had recently is a tracking notice saying my package was misdirected and would be delayed a couple of days. A few days later I got an email saying the package was lost, asking if I wanted a replacement or refund. When I called Amazon the third person I spoke to understood when I told her I had been using the item for over a week. It had been delivered on the day it was supposed to be delivered.
My guess is that the driver didn't scan it before putting it on my porch.

Yes, I've had increasing issues with Fedex delivering to the wrong address. I've experienced this with deliveries both at home and at work. A few months ago, Fedex delivered several laptops ordered for our organization to a nearby construction site, instead of our office. Recently at home they delivered someone else's package to our house, and delivered our package to the other person's address. The problem seems to be mostly with Fedex Ground, which uses local franchises for delivery.
The text from FedEx probably should have read, "out for delivery", which doesn't necessarily mean that the package will be delivered that very day. Although if the US Postal Service or other package delivery service took over the final leg of delivery (which is quite common in rural areas), then FedEx may not be to blame at all.
I've never had an issue with FedEx deliveries, but if something were to arrive a day or two later than expected, it wouldn't really bother me. If I absolutely need an item by a specific date, then I make sure to place the order well ahead of time to allow for delays in delivery. To me, that's just common sense. Why set yourself up for stress when it can easily be avoided?

This has been my experience, also. Especially with eBay orders.
The latest is an ongoing thang. "They say" they tried to deliver, left a notice, left an email, left a message on eBay- nada. Bovine byproducts.
I'm lucky the wrong addressee refused the package, so that's recorded- nothing else is.
same, caught the fedex guy smoking while delivering packages contacted fedex directly and asked is this right? about 1 year ago, we ordered a new computer again said it was delivered and i was waiting all day for it. turns out the driver had delivered it to another house where as they started to open and remove parts from the computer swapping parts. the fedex guy then delivered a mangled open box and asked us to sign off on it.. I'm like you can't be serous. Even when you say you're done with them, if you order from someone, they use whatever's cheapest. so order form companies that give you and option on what delivery service can be used. This is why I've been ordering amazon products lately cause I've been successful with having items delivered to the amazonlocker.
I've received dozens of packages shipped via FedEx and have not had a single problem.
