It has to be Maine.

... That is the way lobsters are called in Maine.
Only by the natives
The Downeast accent would also say, "I pahked my cah in Bah Haba." (I parked my car in Bar Harbor).

It has to be one of the most beautiful and picturesque States of this USA. Photographic opportunities abound. I spent a whole week there photographing the coast and I hardly scratched the surface.
A fascinating State where there are opportunities everywhere for photographers no matter where we go. Just along the southern coast I spent the whole week and I wish I would have stayed longer. It helped me to find many of the hidden places in Maine a brooklet I bought by David Middleton called "The Photographer's Guide to the Maine Coast." I am sure there are other publications available but this one is by a photographer.
If you visit do not forget to try a lobster roll. All images made with Nikon cameras and lenses.
1- Pemaquid Light.
2- Resting auxiliary boats near the Goat lighthouse off Cape Porpoise.
3- Lobster markers and ropes.
4- Lighthouse at the southern tip of Cape Elizabeth.
5- A small bay near the coastal town of Kennebunkpot
It has to be one of the most beautiful and picture... (

I enjoyed them, I expect to visit Maine in August.
Nice .. resting lobster boats at rest .., my favorite ....I mean LOBSTAH ...
Thank you all for the interesting and very nice comments.
Beautiful well rounded set!
Very nice set William. I agree that it's one of the most beautiful states, especially along the coast. Did you get to Acadia park?

Very enjoyable series! But one correction, it's not lobster, it's lobstah
Yes, but is it hard shell or soft shell? We’ll be renting in Rockport for 3 week in August to catch shows at the Owls Head Transportation Museum as we have done many times before. At 83, it’s getting harder to nail those overhead shots.
PS I like that perspective on Pemaquid.
I was there about 30 years ago. Seeing these, I think it’s time for another visit😊

With your beautiful photos you've gotten a good "staht", but you've got a long way to go! The Camden area, Bah Hahbah, - and most people never get past Bah Hahbah. Heading "downeast" you have great little lobster fishing villages like Jonesport and Cutler, and then you can spend days in Washington County - Lubec is a little village which developed on the sardine industry (and all that smuggling of wool from Canada when it was prohibited) - in the early 1900's it was a summer destination for Bostonians and New Yorkers. Nearby Campobello Island has the Roosevelt Cottage. Cobscook Bay State Park is one of the most peaceful spots you will ever find. Lubec has the West Quoddy Head Light House and Campobello has the East Quoddy Head Light Station. Both are spectacular.
And then, you can always continue on the Nova Scotia and PEI!

When we were at the LL Bean store last August (I earlier mentioned to you my 70th birthday celebration trip there), I practiced saying "Baa Habaa" to the shoe salesman. He laughed and told me to forget it---my southern accent belied me everytime---lol.
By the way, without getting personal, I cannot imagine why someone would leave Maine for Washington---I'd leave Hell for Washington, but not Maine.....:))

Great set of photos and I second your comments. I hope you also experienced the blueberry pie...the first bite is good enough to make a puppy pull a freight train
Oh yes, I am trying to get some of those bushes here so I can enjoy them more often.
