"I agree that it's one of the most beautiful states, especially along the coast. Did you get to Acadia park?"

I did and I was at the top of Cadillac Mountain looking at the beautiful view from there. I also paid a visit to the Bass Harbor lighthouse, most probably one of the most visited attractions in that part of Maine.
No matter where you look, Maine is the place to be.

A fascinating State where there are opportunities everywhere for photographers no matter where we go. Just along the southern coast I spent the whole week and I wish I would have stayed longer. It helped me to find many of the hidden places in Maine a brooklet I bought by David Middleton called "The Photographer's Guide to the Maine Coast." I am sure there are other publications available but this one is by a photographer.
If you visit do not forget to try a lobster roll. All images made with Nikon cameras and lenses.

1- Pemaquid Light.
2- Resting auxiliary boats near the Goat lighthouse off Cape Porpoise.
3- Lobster markers and ropes.
4- Lighthouse at the southern tip of Cape Elizabeth.
5- A small bay near the coastal town of Kennebunkpot
It has to be one of the most beautiful and picture... (show quote)

Very nice shots. Love the boat bows. Thanks for the tip on the book. Just ordered it. Maine is only a couple of hours away and I haven't been up there for awhile.

Very enjoyable series! But one correction, it's not lobster, it's lobstah

Yes it IS lobstah. And while we’re on the subject, those images are “wicked good.”

I'll remember that when we stop there this October on our cruise.

One correction Linda, when I'm in Maine next weekend for my 62nd wedding anniversary we will be eating lobster (as it's spelled) and lobstah (as it's pronounced). All kidding aside, we are going to Ogunquit for a week and will make a trek to Portland so that we can eat lobstah at DiMilo's. But our two favorite restaurants in the Ogunquit area are Joshua's in Wells and Clay Hill Farms in Ogunquit.
Do you miss Maine?
Bud
