I agree. My main obstacle is patience also but I have an excuse. I’ll be 71 tomorrow and I’m running out of daylight ;)

What a great thread! It sort of proves my point about hobbies,.....

Photography can be enjoyed by all ages,....I think using the equipment keeps the brain sharp,.....well, maybe not sharp, but still functioning.

My wish, especially for the "senior" fellas and ladies,.....keep shooting and buying new cameras and stuff!

I usually sharpen the subject (bird) and not the background and rely more so on Clarity and Structure tools than Sharpen tool. For the background I turn Clarity and Structure down.

For now this works for me but there are other ways to do it as well. Processing possibilities are nearly endless and I am only beginning to scratch the surface. My main obstacle is lack of patience.

Well you nailed it in this photo Joe!!!! Like you I have little patience for PP and have zero interest in making “art” photos. At 78 and failing health I use my “snapshots” as a means of reminding myself of my travels far and wide or just around the neighbourhood in my home town.
Keep creating and posting you beautiful images. I always look forward to seeing your posts.
Regards, Garth

At 82 I hesitate to buy green bananas, so I sent the Missus to Hawaii and bought a new camera instead.

LOL - George Burns said that quite often - I too only buy 3 or 4 ripe bananas at at time - speaking of bananas - bet this is a first for many - It sure was for me - I was walking in a small village near Cancun, MX when I spotted this Banana stalk in blossom, it was a real learning experience for this retired produce man.
