I don’t blame the Rams, the fix was on by the greedy NFL, the Rams have a much larger market value than the lowly Saints which meant more revenue for their mighty Super Bowl!

The more reviewable plays they add to NFL games, the longer the game is going to last. The average NFL game is 3 hours 12 minutes not far behind, baseball is 3 hours 10 minutes, NHL hockey game is 2 hours 20 minutes. Most of that time is allowing for station breaks.

Speaking of the NHL, hockey is still the greatest professional sport there is... We love it in Raleigh NC. Our transplanted Pittsburgh and NY fan base really bring in the fans to the arena where they see some of the best hockey matchups in the world. After becoming accustomed to the fast pace of hockey, I have nodded off during football and baseball games. They just don't match the continuous pace and thrills. College basketball can cancel all of their games--it's a sissy sport where you're not allowed to touch each other (not meaning to offend our lady friends)

If you’re talking about fines it goes to charity.

It's just a money-raising revenue source for another business.

Yup! Jerry Jones, who owns the Dallas Cowboys, rides in his own personal helicopter from home in Dallas to the "Star" Cowboys facility in Frisco, TX....thus makes a 45 minute car trip into a 6 minute commute by air. Billionaires can't afford to waste a minute or 40 every day. OMG!

I agree but have a question: Why do you say “he has enough skills to beat other very good quarterbacks...”? I don’t understand this approach of saying Brady beat Peyton x times or vice versa. Or Eli beat Brady twice. QBs don’t play each other, it’s not a one-on-one matchup, like you might have in basketball or pitcher vs batter in baseball.
Can you help me understand this?

Tom is 42 years old and still kicking butt. The young very good quarterbacks such as Russell Wilson of Seattle and Mahomes of Kansas City, and Goff of the Rams have lost to Brady. He has beaten the very good Phillip Rivers of the Chargers, who is now 37 years old, more than once. I don't know how many times he has beaten Roethlisberger. But, I didn't see Pittsburgh in the Superbowl last month. Eli Manning has beaten Tom twice in the Superbowl games, but is washed up compared to Brady now. Eli, will never win another Superbowl. Tom is not intimidated by any quarterback. Including Rodgers of Green Bay. Who may be the best quarterback right now. The best Superbowl match-up would be Rodgers versus Brady. Two very good, smart quarterbacks. Of course you need other ingredients to win. Like a good defense, and key offensive players. Like the Gronkowski. Rodgers had some key offensive players too. But Rodgers coach, who was GM as well, was fired last season, because he relied on Rodgers to win all games on his talents alone. He was no Belichick. Belichick, never totally relied on Brady alone to win all games. Winning playoff games, leading to the Superbowl are the most important. Brady plans to play until he is 44-45 years old. He takes care of that skinny body of his.

The vote on the new pass interference review rule was 31-1. Lone "no vote" was by the Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown.

Brady eventually was suspended 4 regular season games without pay for the Deflategate issue. Belichick was heavily fined for Spygate. Both have learned their lessons. A change in the rules, prevent deflated balls from ever being used again.

Remember the Outrage that resulted from the Pass Interference no call, during the last quarter of the NFC Championship game in New Orleans. Well, that outrage has changed the rules for next year's NFL games. The Los Angeles Rams won that game, and the Los Angeles Rams went to the Superbowl against the New England Patriots, losing it against the Patriots. Everyone, wondered, what if Drew Brees had played against Tom Brady? I certainly think it would have been a better game. The new rule was also approved by NFL owners. To have Pass Interference to be reviewable. It is too little too late for the Saints. They may not even qualify again, next year, for the Superbowl. What other rules need to be changed?

That was the worst call I ever saw.

I think that if a player makes a dirty hit and injures another the offender should be ejected from all play until the victim can return to play. Season ending dirty hit? -- the offender also is out for the season.

I can’t disagree with anything you say about Brady BUT qbs don’t play against each other, they play against the other team’s defense. So to say Brady beat Wilson or Manning beat Brady makes no sense to me. Football isn’t a one-on-one competition.

The Bengals owner is the lone vote against the pass interference review.
