Have IE, Safari and Chrome on my laptop w/ Windows 7. My vote is for Chrome. Fast and secure. No lockups. Four MB Ram is adequate.

Chrome works perfectly for me and is much faster for me than IE. couldn't up load pics to UHH until I got Chrome, and now they load instantly. Other apps like Google maps....much faster and free of "jumps".

Gotta vote for Chrome, not one hiccup yet. Put it on as Firefox was slowing down.

Tried chrome, couldn't get it to behave and took it off.

Actually, when I tried Chrome a long time ago I didn't like it for those reasons, but they must have updated and fixed it because (as I said in an earlier reply) it now works great for me. If you haven't tried it for a while you might want to try it again.

I just downloaded Opera. Seems pretty good, I will be using it as a back-up to Safari instead of FireFox. Anyone else using Opera? Comments? Thanks

I have used Opera for the last ten years, ever since I discovered it. It is simple and easy to use, reliablee and has a very good password memory system. I was conned into downloading Chrome, like another contributer said, but found it to be completely useless so deleted it. I have Firefox as a backup , but haven't needed it, although I give it a run occasionaly and find it difficult compared to Opera. Before Opera I had, like most people, IE5 but when IE6 came along I went over to Opera.
Don't worry about which is the fastest, Opera is fast enough and reliable enough for me, and now we are on Version 12.12.

I am searching for the perfect browser for my internet adventures. I feel as if I've been let down.

IE9: somewhat stable but chokes on the new facebook photo viewer.

IE10: works like a charm on the new facebook photo viewer but chokes on other websites from time to time. It is a preview release. Can't play facebook games with IE10.
Laugh if you want to--I used to be a hardcore Sacred Underworld/Sacred Fallen Angel player. Now my gaming consists of Angry Birds and facebook games.

Firefox: latest version has a horrible text rendering issue that makes it all but impossible for me to read(perhaps my eyes have the issue) None of the suggested fixes work.

Chrome: seems to work but the random lockups....

Opera: I love the integrated email client. Does freeze up often.

What are you guys having success with?

I am trying Chrome on one of my computers and Firefox on the other. I am still still evaluating them and have been for 6 months now. At least I don't have problems uploading images to UHH any more. Explorer is terrible.

I used all of them too. But when I let IE upgrade from 8 to 9 I started having problems. I read many other complaints about IE not uploading images to UHH. Plus, I got infected by malware called doubleclick which invaded my backspace button so that I could not page back because the pageback history would be over run by doubleclickad. Even Eset and Kaspersky couldn't get rid of it for me. So I switched to Chrome and Firefox on my two computers and have never seen the doubleclickad malware again.
