Surely I see the trend of today wedding photography of not capturing the event but rather creating something that the bride and mother of the bride would like to see and the marriage itself is less important than the images. So CGI is just the ticket.

This got sent before I was finished. I was just going to say I don't know what it means anyway...

Not revelant to this discussion Again! Why keep posting your Whatever’s? Never helps but must keep You in the mix I guess.

NO interjections permitted?
MUST keep on subject?
NO HUMOR allowed?

Acoarst. As Terrymc reminded us, you must ALWAYS rely on professionals for pix of your new baby. "New babies" has been attempted by cell phone and has been a toadall failure. As professionals fade from the landscape, AI will deliver greatly improved "new baby" pix.

Yeah, I never reminded anyone of that, and your comprehension of metaphorical usage is about as astute as that new language you invented just to torture those of who like to write in English.

And if the future of photography is the cell phone, just look at "social media" if you want to see the future. Then go on one those Facebook groups that fix bad pictures for people and see what they request maybe more often than anything else: "I took these pictures of my kids with my cell phone. Can anyone make them look more...professional?"

Yeah, I never reminded anyone of that, and your co... (show quote)

Your short term memory problem may need real professional attention. You very clearly recommended the hiring of a professional photographer for "new baby" pix.

I’m Very confused about AI! Some of the images I’ve seen are fantastic but totally computer generated. Like Landscape photography and models composing that aren’t real but sure looks like it. Are any Pro’s out there concerned about this? BTW I’m just an amateur photographer and do use the Topaz suite which I believe is AI. Just think Big changes are coming….

First of all, those AI images which are totally computer generated are not photographs. They may compete with photography for things like stock photography, but photographers will always be needed for things like portraits of specific people and event photography, including weddings. Also, the whole field of photojournalism and documentary photography requires actual photography. The main use of AI in photography is for post processing.

You mean this one, which I quote in full, and which you also quoted in full, that makes no mention of professional photographers being needed for anything including baby pictures?

"Yup, making up people out of thin air is exactly the same as pictures of the new baby...just another tool."

So only your discussion are relevant Paul? I value your expertise but your witticisms that don’t pertain to the subject are Very Boring! Why do you keep doing that unless it strokes your Ego?

At last,...we can now have non-blurred images of Bigfoot eating a picnic lunch with a family vacationing there. 😁

That makes Perfect sense! Perhaps Landscape photography and “stock photos” will be forever changed. You will never know what’s real. So who really cares Right? BTW I’m an old school 70 guy that Loves NG! Are their images real?
