I’m Very confused about AI! Some of the images I’ve seen are fantastic but totally computer generated. Like Landscape photography and models composing that aren’t real but sure looks like it. Are any Pro’s out there concerned about this? BTW I’m just an amateur photographer and do use the Topaz suite which I believe is AI. Just think Big changes are coming….

Human intelligence accepts or rejects what the AI of a PPP (Post Processing Program) does to the photo. PPs (Professional Photographers) have trained experience and judgment to accept, reject, or retweet that.

For the next wedding in your family, don't hire a photographer. Just sit at your keyboard and type: Pictures of my daughter and her new husband in the church on Baker St., at the altar, and leaving the church with Uncle Ed and Auntie Hilda throwing rice.

Great memories...

Professional photography has been losing its market for a few decades (or more). I will not list the various technical break throughs that have been causing that, but would point out that AI is just one more of those, and nothing greater than those which came before.

Yup, making up people out of thin air is exactly the same as pictures of the new baby...just another tool.

As per your exceedingly appropriate and astute observation, I couldnt agree more. Youve absolutely revealed your grasp of matters AI. Fine shining example of UHH Sacred Tradition. Keep on keeping on.

If there is a change in the need for photographers because of AI, I would imagine it would be primarily in the commercial arena.

Acoarst. As Terrymc reminded us, you must ALWAYS rely on professionals for pix of your new baby. "New babies" has been attempted by cell phone and has been a toadall failure. As professionals fade from the landscape, AI will deliver greatly improved "new baby" pix.

Surely I see the trend of today wedding photography of not capturing the event but rather creating something that the bride and mother of the bride would like to see and the marriage itself is less important than the images. So CGI is just the ticket.

Don't sweat it...even if the camera goes away as long as you are creating pleasing images...

Beauty is not in the eye, but in the mind, and knowing that others can't tell if AI was used.
