This is the new chassis and drivetrain we put in the 57 Corvette. This could almost be considered an entire new 57, with the exception of the instrument cluster, seat frames and misc hardware and trim.
650hp aluminum 427 SB with Hilborn electronic fuel injection. Tremec 5spd with dual disc clutch and 9"Ford rear, 3.90 gear and four link coil over suspension

Lord have mercy, brother. You ought to nickname that thing " Rolling Thunder " If you're going to do stuff like this, you better do it right....like you guys are doing. Have fun.

Did you build the chassis? What we see looks great.

Beautifully executed - where’s the roll bar?

You noticed. I wanted to use the tall stacks Hilborn comes with, but they were mostly for racing without filters.

I'm not that talented. The chassis is Art Morrison. The front half of the body on the original had been replaced due to a wreck, and the gel coat was pretty bad, so we replaced the entire body with a Concept 57 unit. Much better fiberglass than the original.

A huge improvement in the brakes and suspension - something often overlooked by less sophisticated builders. I hope you post some images when completed. Are you gonna take it to the strip, or is it a show car?

Just imagine...if Chevy had built this in '57!! You're doing a fabulous job. Are you giving rides?

Kinda reminds me of my 68' GTO. Put a V8 455 in a V8 350 frame with an Edlebrock Dual intake Manafold with 2 Holley 1250 Double Pumper Cabs with the Rear Cab using an Electric Fuel pump. Front Carb is using a Manual GM fuel pump. Hooker Headers, a GM 3 speed Tranny with a Thursh shifter with the rear end having Highway Patrol Interceptor Gears.

Wish I still had the car. Vehicle in 72' was not street legal. Parked vehicle in front of house before I was going to change brakes in the rear of my cousins Semi. It was rear ended by and totaled by a stolen vehicle.
Cost the insurance company over $10,000 in 1972 when I turned the claim into them. Had all the receipts for everything.
