When I was about ten the words, "Under God" were added to our pledge of allegiance. For many years now people have been trying to have those words removed.

Our anthem was already changed to make it gender neutral (replaced the word "sons" with "us") There was another phrase replaced as well but I've only heard people singing the original phrase so the new words were never really accepted.
The french version of O Canada, which is the original version, has never been changed.

I need to chop off my hair. I like having enough length for a pony tail so I can pull my hair away from my face for the summer, but I have a very HEAVY pony tail at the moment.
I hope you are all neat and tidy after your hair cut.

Not sure about the neat and tidy but I will be well and truly scalped. xx

Ooops too quick to send….. love yawl, stay safe. I feel we are all on a rising of mood. Because I think we’ve all been fed up in some way. I know I have anyway not a good reason why……if I saw a bit sun it might help. No chance on this coast. Here if anyone needs me. Love yawl. Xx

Summer and summer-like weather make my mood improve. I get outside more, even if it is just to pick dandelion flowers out of the lawns.
I hope you get your taste of summer soon.
Love you back Susan

Well Cassie came today. Here at 8,30. Of course she’s not really due til 11am, but that’s another story. It’s something to do with the school holidays and auntie babysitting. It’s easier if I just do what I’m told🙁🫣

Then it was time to go to Wendy’s and see her. She’s looking really well. Her feet are looking better, no more holes 🕳️ (craters) in them. It won’t make her walk though, but we’re thankful for any improvement. We had our lunch together. We had 2 crumpets (pykelets) each with a nice bit of lurpak butter on. And I took my own coffee. It’s so cold here today. 12c, had my jacket on. When we’d watched the news 🗞️ I came home. Still didn’t get to see Albert. Maybe next week. I’ve been talking to his picture though.

Did I tell you I had a watts app from Karen on Monday? Well I did and apart from them having to change rooms at the hotel 🏨 thins mainly went ✅ OK
97 br br Well Cassie came today. Here at 8,30. Of... (show quote)

I don't know what bug was in mum's bonnet but she cleaned all the windows yesterday, so something was bothering her.
It's hard for you to keep a schedule when Cassie doesn't keep hers.
It's too warm for me to use my sweaters but you must have a few to keep you warm.
I'm glad that Karen is doing well on her vacation.

Good morning from a 45F and clear Shoreline area. No plans for the day today, so will get on with my knitting at some point. Went for a long ride with Mr Ric yesterday that took up most of the afternoon and early evening. Was nice to get out of the house for a good long while. I hop you all are staying safe and well and having as good a day as you can. xxxooo

We've cut back on the car rides here because the price of gas/petrol is so high, but I'm hoping to go someplace during one of my vacation weeks.
Both yarn crawls near me have been cancelled this year due to high gas prices, so I won't be doing that this year.

Tippy, our really old squirrel with the white tipped tail, is at the window asking for seed so I'm going to go throw some out for her and the bunnies.
Everyone have a great day and stay well or feel better soon.

Well it’s certainly not summer AGAIN today. This blinking north east coast has got to be the pits. All the rest of the UK 🇬🇧 IS BASKING IN SUNSHINE. HERE WE HAVE TEMP OF 11C…windy and cloudy. But I’ll show it what I think. I won’t look out of the window tomorrow.! I’ve done a few puzzles this morning. One I couldn’t get and that is strange. Because this particular one I get it every day. Some days are harder than others but always get it…well…today I didn’t.

I’ve told sue to be down here on Saturday at 8.15 because we have to get to the bus 🚎. Stephen has to put his bloody oar in!,,,,,, he always has to have a say in things. I could have lamped him this morning. He’s bringing sue down on the morning, then going to cut my grass. Which is kind. Not sure how sues getting home, but that’s up to them. I do worry and get worked up if I’m going to be late ⏰ etc. so it doesn’t look like I’m getting any shopping this week. , I mustn’t be hungry. I might go out tomorrow for some food. I’ll put my winter coat back on. As for the sketchers I bought, I think I might have to put my fur lined boots back on….(can you tell that this weather has got me rattled )😩🥶😶‍🌫️

All of you that need a hug today, I’m sending you one. Or two if you like. You wouldn’t believe what’s happening as I type……..I’m freezing and sitting here eating a cho ice cream 🍨 lollie. There’s not much sense in my head. It’s nice though. Not my head, but the lolly.

Love yawl.. stay safe and well. xxx

Rollator is a walker with a seat. I push it as a walker to the place I need to be and then sit on it. Do not use it at home just for when I need to walk a long distance. I do sometimes use a walker at home rather than a stick as it is easier on one's arms as you use both arms with a walker and only one arm with a stick.

I’m going to have one with the seat when I need it. Not yet a while yet. I feel I’m slowly but surely shutting down….

That seems to happen all the time now. The appliances wait until the warranty is over to break.
I hope the repairman is able to fix it without a lot of cost to you.

I have been burned to many times and I always take the three year extended warranty out!

I just had to sit on hold for 45 minutes with Indiana department of revenue because they sent us a letter saying that we hadn’t paid our state taxes for 2022, which I paid on March 17, 2023, it took them till May 31 to post the payment……………what in the world!

That is ridiculous! Sorry you had to deal with their apparent incompetence. xxxooo
