If I go to the doctor and tell him I'm constipated should I take a photo of the empty toilet bowl and show him nothing came out?
What would the purpose of taking a photo of a swollen battery. It got stuck in the camera I freed it and placed it in the garbage

These battery posts are driving me nuts...I just don't understand why people who have at least $5,000 invested in a current Z Nikon body and a Z lens or two, are so concerned about saving a few bucks on a third party battery. Same argument carried over from DSLR cameras. After I had several bad experiences with Watson batteries and chargers, I said never again will a Non Nikon product touch my Nikon bodies, to include lenses. Never looked back.
I hear you. But people have different opinions and methods, and needs and that's ok.

Why ask that question? I have had batteries swell I did not take photos. I have measured multiple batteries with calipers, to detect the onset of swelling, so as to toss them before it becomes a problem in camera. Have tossed several. Did not take any pics. If I was returning it under warranty, I would take a pic. of the battery and caliper. That is the only reason.

We're all snowflakes. There's not a day goes by that I don't wonder why people make certain decisions about their purchases. I've made a few that the return period has passed. Then, there's politics.

Unless they are the EN-EL15c, they will not work.

Read again the post that you were replying to. You are telling him the batteries he uses dont work in the camera that he uses them in (Z5).

As for buying expensive batteries for an expensive camera, that does make some sense. For example, when I wear my $200 shoes, I wear my $75 sox. 🤣

My battery was relative new but I didn't want a replacement with the same potential problem so I tossed it in garbage. No photo needed

If I add together the amount I paid for them, all the sox in my drawer may reach $75.

I settled on buying identical dress sox and casual sox years ago. I never have trouble matching them. They're either black or wait. When one develops a hole, I just toss it, and I can match it with one of the others.

I can't believe they missed... I'm gonna build a bar in the back of my car and drive myself to drink.

After many years of working out of a home office I didn't really need to buy "dress" socks anymore...so I would buy crew socks in either white or gray.

Usually when I ran out of clean socks I would swing by the local Bob's store and buy a 6 or 12 pack of new ones. Of course, I eventually washed them and am ashamed to admit that I now have 2 large trash bags...one filled with white socks and one with gray socks.

Things like that happen when you don't have one of those things...what do you call them...oh yeah, wife.

I wait for holes to develop in socks. Then I wash and dry them and use them as rags. I save my microfiber cloths for "good" cleaning. I still have bags of unopened socks -both black and white. When I'm long gone, my son will have a supply of socks - shirts, too.
