Check out their latest Youtube video. Granted, it is clickbait and whether it may affect Canon is pure speculation. But... the how of it interests me. The time horizon of functioning ILC Android phones/cameras as early as next year... wow! If it happens, I'm guessing it will be the dawn of a new age when coupled with AI.

Wish you explained more here. I'll check back and see what others who read the article have to say.

I'd like to read the article, but your link doesn't seem to work (thought they weren't allowed... has that changed?).

It seems that if you post a link in the first post in this section, the post and entire thread will get moved to the Links and Resources section. I have had that happen to me. I think that links are allowed anywhere in the General Chit Chat section. That's my observation.

Here is the T&C link:

And here is my friend and top Netherland's engineer Daniel Ockeloen's educated response to the T&C assertations. Daniel isn't buying it ,and explains why:

Sony's 'secret' strategy has been well-documented on the internet for years. Sony is now making Nikon's high-end sensors. They've embedded a clever bug into the Nikon cameras with these Sony sensors: the Nikon DSLR suddenly dies after a encrypted number of flips of the mirror the sensor can detect as different from the original Sony mirrorless cameras. Just look online for 'Nikon Sudden Death Syndrome'. I've seen a thread where they think from your Nikon serial number you can identify the week number in the calendar year (01 -> 53) your camera is most likely to die. The syndrome isn't even very hush-hush.

It must really burn your shorts to hear the pair disparage Sony's products for a good few minutes starting around minute 2, and several more times throughout the video.

Only you blind Canon fanboys can not accept ANY criticism of your fav brand, LOL.

No camera brand is perfect, and no camera brand has ever ALWAYS been infallible, including Canon which I used for over four decades.

If Canon had been better I might have stayed with them , instead of moving over to Sony. I have long ago heard all the early criticism of Sony's first products, along with all their worldwide praise as they innovated in image sensors and cameras bodies, and created a totally new market, the fullframe mirrorless camera. The stunning success of the Sony A7III changed the fullframe photo world forever, as T&C mention here.

Canon, Nikon, Panasonic have been playing catchup in fullframe mirrorless ever since. LOL

Sony isn't perfect, Canon isn't perfect, Nikon isn't perfect, Fuji isn't perfect, Panasonic isn't perfect, Olympus isn't perfect, Pentax isn't perfect, neither are Leica and Hasselblad perfect.

I personally dont care what brand you prefer. Use whatever you like and be happy.

I joined all the World's Top News Services who have moved to Sony and Nikon fullframe mirrorless for all their staff still photographers and staff videographers, Worldwide, NOT Canon mirrorless. Just the new reality, Paul.

Associated Press, UK Press, Canadian Press, all Gannett media including USA Today, have ALL move exclusively to Sony mirrorless for all their staffers worldwide. AFP (Agence France Presse) helped develop and test the mirrorless Nikon Z9, and uses the Z9 for their staffers worldwide.

Amd Paul dont give the standard Canon fanboy response that Sony and Nikon made some underhanded bid to get these clients. They didn't. I have shot for AP in the past and know its Photo Director and he told me that all major makers submitted similar financial bids . Check what they said in their own words why they choose Sony and Nikon fullframe mirrorless . None chose Canon mirrorless. Just the facts.

You are the only one who gets his pants on fire, we all know that here in UHH. I dont live and breathe any single camera brand like you do, LOL, LOL

And FYI, Associated Press, the Top Worldwide New Service, tested Sony cameras in the field for two years around the world, before deciding to make Sony their exclusive equipment provider for all their staff photographers and staff videographers worldwide. AP, like me, never got their pants on fire about any early Sony models. And BTW, AP ditched its long-standing Canon DSLRs to go exclusively to Sony mirrorless, and AP did not choose to move with Canon mirrorless.

Cheers and best to you Paul.

It's still a month away from the opening of the NFL training camps. But, you're already in the protocol tent? Your posting history is permanent, and not so easily wished away, unless you've lost your short term memories on the way to the tent?

Can't say if they are right or wrong. If they are right it would be good for me. A sure cure for G.A.S. as the camera will be boring like hell to use.

It that the best you can do Paul, LOL.

My postings here in UHH have always been open for anyone to search. You take this way too personal Paul.

People always send me private messages here in UHH and tell me you are best ignored Paul, so that is what I will do now in this thread.

I posted a link to an actual photo engineer disputing much of T&C's assertations and you take it as an affront to Canon, and try to make it about me.
LOL

Feel free to have your final Canon fanboy word.

It's all speculation...the future usually is.

One thing is already clear...

Sony is a very innovative company willing to think and move outside of the box with relative ease.

Canon is the exact opposite of that.

Your personality will guide you in the end.
