Product delays, especially with newer products is a normal operating proceedure from Nikon. D850, 500PF, etc.

I would think someone would have a better chance at one of the smaller mom - pop camera stores. When photogs were waiting & looking for the 500pf & places like B& H & Adaroma didn't have them in stock, there were a few in smaller camera stores.

She'll find out if there is a Nikon USA warranty card in the box. If there isn't I would personally return it.

Like trading in a car, it's easy, but expensive. I checked with KEH, MPB and eBay. Prices paid on eBay are considerably higher than those paid by dealers. The dealers have to make a profit, of course, and pay their bills.

Online reviewers said that Nikon made an initial run of 12,000 Z8s, double that of the Z9, and they're all gone.

Exactly, I do much better getting new releases at my fav mom and pop dealer, Allen Camera.

I received an email from NPS stating that I could pick my Z8 sometime between May 25-30. I called
Tempe Camera yesterday the 24 and David said I could pickup the camera on the 25 which is today.
They open at 10:00 and I will be there waiting for the doors to open.
