Wow! It sure did. Will you be planting there now or will you just leave it the way it is? xxxooo
I've got some lavender bushes that have outgrown the raised bed so will transfer them to there. xx

Some days things do not go as planned. I arrived at the thrift store and looked for the wheelchair they promised. It was child's size, no arms, depilated and unsafe for anyone. I did not bring my rollator so I figured I had to look for chairs around the store. Tried to call my friend to say I was in the store. Phones do not work in that building. I found an end table to sit on to wait. Friend showed up late. I am only able to walk for 5 minutes. So shopped one aisle and found a chair in the fitting room. Shopped another aisle and friend grabbed a shower chair from a display. As I sat I felt how wiggly and unsafe that chair was. Shopping in furniture aisle I saw a desk chair I might like. Sat on it and found the chair was a bit under a shelf so as you sat down you got a very sharp painful whap on the back of your head. Gave up shopping and went to checkout. All chairs had been removed from entrance way. Had to painfully go back to fitting room. Could not call Harold as phone doesn't work. Friend went outside and called him. She spoke to the manager. Found out they purposely removed chairs so customers would not linger? Told manage the wheelchair was unsafe and child size. Tough, that is all they had.
I remember this store having benches outdoors where people waited for rides, chairs in lobby, chairs in shoe department, chairs near register. Not now not one chair to be found. This is a store where proceeds go to handicapped.
Next week we are going to goodwill and she assures me there is seating throughout the store. I am also taking my rollator to be safe. Rollator is heavy and we avoid taking it unless we have to.
Actually it was a good day for me. I got out the house. Friend made me realize I had not been in a store in almost three years. I had not gone in stores because of covid for two years and I had not been in stores since January 2 this year.
I was feeling so good I went online and chatted with Claire from sleep number beds. Ordered a new bed and found in the 11years since I bought my last bed they had gone up $2,000.00. That is okay I am worth it.

Well a sort of mixed day, shame about the seating or lack of it but at least you got out of the house for a non-medical reason, a step in the right direction. xx
Good morning all from a cloudy and dampish Norfolk. Not actually raining just damp in the air. Nothing happening around here today so knitting this afternoon. Have an enjoyable day if you can. xx
Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 7:01 am EST and 14'C (57'F) going up to 26'C (79'F) this afternoon. There are storm clouds out over the lake so Rochester, New York, USA is getting a thunderstorm this morning.
We had all the fans going yesterday because mum doesn't like the air conditioning. The lower floor was quite comfortable but upstairs was a little warm for sleeping.
Work was quiet. I was training one of the new guys again. Our CAO issued an email assuring us that Premier Ford was not going to do to our Region what he had done to Peel Region. (Not that she can predict our unpredictable premier)
We've reached the time of year where I need to put on bug spray before I open the back door. I was watering the lawn (mum chose the "cutest" lawn sprinkler, not the most useful!) and the mosquitos were rising from the grass when wet.
There's a new book about Canadian apologies
. Apparently we apologize more than any other country in the world!!!! And this book teaches us the "proper" way to apologize and words to avoid while apologizing. (It's not just "I'm sorry")
I was knitting on DDs socks and those tiny needles were like medical needles and kept going into the same place on my finger. I ended up putting on a bandaid so I wouldn't keep hitting the same spot.

I hope the management of that thrift store rethink their policies. There should be multiple wheelchairs, and "tough" is not a proper response to the situation.
I'm glad that you were able to get out of the house. Sorry that the store was not accommodating to their customers needs.
It's great that you are getting a new bed. I'm holding off until we move into another house. I don't want to have to drag a new bed up and down these stairs. I will make this one last a couple more years.

Strep A is causing more cases of cellulitis and impetigo in children in Toronto. In rare cases it can lead to invasive Strep A and cause necrotizing fasciitis (flesh eating disease) and sepsis. Illnesses are highest among kids 0-4 and those over 65.

Those lavender bushes should be easier to manage.

I’ve been to chatclub to pay for another trip. That’s at knarborough, 7th July. Then this afternoon I went to knit and natter and there were 16 of us. And not quiet 🤫 at all. Don’t think too bad of me, but I really didn’t fancy all this today. I’m feeling tired cos I didn’t sleep well last, and I was bored with 🧶 knitting. I just really wanted to stay quiet today.but ….I’m home now. And this is where I want to be today. Just me…..am I ever satisfied……there’s no pleasing me.
Hope you’re all oka and love yawl. Stay safe. Tomorrow Cassie comes in the morning, and it’s Wendy’s tomorrow afternoon, oh and yes….it’s been flipping freezing here today. And cloudy.

There are days when I don't want to do anything either. That usually doesn't happen.
When you are freezing, it's time to layer on another sweater.
Love you back Susan
