FYI, one of my closest veteran pro friends in New Jersey, who has decades of award-winning professional work to his name, still shoots with his Nikon D2s, so he sees them and they are seen by his subjects every day. Again it seems you just aren't around enough variety of professional photographers, many of whom DON"T own the latest flagship model, and yet they still are relevant and still make their living.

And none of their subjects say to them, "oh stop, you can't take my photo because you dont have the latest flagship cameras and therefore you aren't relevant " LOL

Cheers and best to you.

Congratulations. You searched the world over for the one person still using the camera.
And what does that prove?
Nothing.
So one of 2 things, no one is really buying the Z9, contrary to Nikon claims, or you are confused.

Like what seems to be the average age here at UHH.

That's True...it's not what kind of Camera you have...it's what the Camera can do for you.

You know nothing about what cameras all of the pro Nikon shooters use if you think they all have bought and all use only Z9 cameras, LOL,LOL,LOL . Do better research. Many working pro Nikon users that need to have and use multiple cameras for their work, cant afford one or multiple Z9 cameras. Just the facts.

The Z9 is selling well, but not every pro Nikon shooters is using them. Pro Nikon shooters still use Nikon DSLRs they have long ago paid for, and use less expensive Nikon Z models too. This isn't your medical field where every piece of equipment costs a fortune, and some wealthy hospital or medical facility, or doctors group has paid for that expensive equipment that the medical professionals use, LOL

News services and media outlets like AFP have bought Nikon Z9 for their staffers, as have hobbyists that can afford a Z9, but freelance pros (and there are more freelance pros than staff pros worldwide nowadays), they have to supply their own equipment ,and they cant as easily upgrade from good ,still working, fine older pro Nikon bodies to expensive Z9 like you think, even if they might like to do so. I know a host of relevant Nikon Professionals and only a few have upgraded to and paid for their own Z9. Just the reality in tough economic times for many relevant working pro Nikon shooters.

Cheers and best to you.
