In a scathing 100-plus-page opinion, U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell ruled that Biden’s catch-and-release policy is unlawful. The judge gave the administration seven days to comply with federal i*********n l*w.

Technicality because they weren't being done in a "case by case" manner as prescribed by the law.

Fine now the onus is on congress to fund sufficient facilities/manning to “detain “ all those claiming asylum until their hearing.

Break open a new case of money printing presses !!!

I wonder how the administration will “ detain” all the millions already released awaiting their hearing or for that matter “ where” the new asylees will be detained
And how much it will cost.

I’m not sure that has ever happened certainly not in this century.

Perhaps we can do the smart thing and deport them all and seal our borders from further invasions.

It is unlikely anyone has seen DennyT step-up and voluntarily take in ten to fifteen or so i*****l a***ns* to house, feed, pay for clothing or medical expenses for, &c. &c..

* Defined by enabling legislation. Wording not LEGALLY changed since inception.

DennTy, you seem to be ignoring the fact the catch-and-release into the country of i*****l a***ns* is, in itself ILLEGAL! And especially so by P**********l Directive.

See a recent court decision: http://myfloridalegal.com/webfiles.nsf/WF/GPEY-CPQPAB/$file/final+order.pdf

* “i*****l a***n” is the terminology of the enabling legislation.

That is what we are talking about. The court said they should be “detained•” now where and who is going to pay for the facilities to” detain” all the asylees until their court date ?
Catch up !

Perhaps if we bit the bullet and ate the cost of detaining them they wouldn’t be making a mockery of the asylum laws. You know and I know probably 90 plus percent are here for jobs not fleeing persecution. They are receiving counseling as to what words they should utter to trigger an asylum claim and quite frankly as I stated yesterday we are already bearing the cost (at the local, state and federal lever well north of 100 billion annually). Being actually detained and not on “parole” in a New York City hotel may deter others.
