Thanks! I could have fit 2 of these little boogers on my little fingers fingernail. All natural lighting. Tight crop.

I thought it was a fun idea... the toad, not so much. It was getting aggravated over my insistence on its remaining upon the perch. I got a lot of disappointing shots and then it gave me this pose.... I chuckled to myself while thinking... I can work with this!

Well, I must say that toad has an issue to be reckoned with. Personally I would have been most compromising were I in his/her shoes; but then I'm not an amphibian Ever thought about toad training? I suspect you'd do rather well.

Two cooperative models, although you mentioned that the frog had other things on his (her) mind. Not wanting to be a peeping tom, but it must have been interesting to watch you attempting to get the little amphibian to pose for you. Funny post, I love it.

The dichotomy for me is the interesting concept vs the unpleasant image. Just my 2 cents, of course.

The inspiration came when I was deciding how to show just how small these things are when they freshly emerge from the water. I thought it was a fun idea ... the toad, not so much. It was getting aggravated over my insistence on its remaining upon the perch. I got a lot of disappointing shots and then it gave me this pose.... I chuckled to myself while thinking... i don't think they are toads, actually, I think they are tree frogs. my wife spotted this little guy in a planter. I posted it on inaturalist.org and was told that it is a Gray Treefrog. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/66470059

LOL...Just "Shows to GO Ya" .. Art Nude shooters have all the originality, imagination and skill of the erudite high art photographers not to mention humor. I nearly did a coffee "spit-take" when I first saw this capture. Let me double and pass on all the photography elements mentioned on this site plus just a simple GREAT SHOT. .. Also the critter in this shot is probably a Toad, not a frog. There is a difference.

Trust me, its a toad. Every spring for 40 years I have experienced their mating rituals.
