This is a fresh out of the pond toad... a very active little booger... had a tough time getting it to remain still. Finally after about a half hour of shooting, I got this shot. I really like the expression and stance.

Rather interesting. Either one heck of a tiny frog, or . . . the other way around! I think I like it but I must ask, whatever inspired you to produce an image such as this? You've done a great job on the lighting. And you've made it oblique enough that the human connection isn't quite there. Come to think of it; the more time goes by the more I like it, so

Thanks! I could have fit 2 of these little boogers on my little fingers fingernail. All natural lighting. Tight crop.
The inspiration came when I was deciding how to show just how small these things are when they freshly emerge from the water. I thought it was a fun idea ... the toad, not so much. It was getting aggravated over my insistence on its remaining upon the perch. I got a lot of disappointing shots and then it gave me this pose.... I chuckled to myself while thinking... I can work with this!
