]Thank you for your post. If you haven't saved any more on the card the information should still be there the markers show it's open to write to. I agree if you about using scan disk recovery software. We all have, oops, make mistakes and some can be fixed while others not. I hope that you are able to retrieve your images. This is a great reminder for all of us.

I had a similar issue with a SanDisk card... though I did not format it, it became corrupted and could not be read by the camera or the PC. I used EaseUS Data Recovery Pro as the SanDisk rescue tools did not work. You have to pay for it, but it recovered all of my images. I believe you can download it and test to see if it can recover the files before you buy it.

I hope this help. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for that. I've used the SanDisk recovery but didn't get the pictures I saw on the card. Now I have to figure that out. AND, for those still reading this, the SanDisk recovery isn't free. It will extract images, but to actually be able to save them, one must pay!

Thanks for the encouragement.

If it’s been quick formatted, only the first letter of the file name was changed to allow new data to overwrite and the files can be recovered with software. If hard formatted, I think you’re out of luck.

Well, I was able to recover some images, but they were from two formats ago!

Were all three formats done the same way and by the same device, i.e. in the camera or using the computer?

BTW Some SanDisk card blister packs have a code you can use for a free year of the full RescuePro program. The year starts from when you first use the code to activate the program.

But if you don't have a code you used to be able to try the software first for free to see if it would actually work to recover your images before buying the full version.

You are definitely not alone. My big mistake today is that it is the day I turned 89. LOL

Agree with the others! You are not alone…you’re taking all the right steps to get back whatever you can! Good luck!
