Firstly, I have not read every post but saw a thread here the other day where I recall someone else had a similar problem. They resolved things by having the camera connected to computer by cable.

More than likely totally off track but thought I'd mention.

I've already taken the card out and inserted it in the slot in the computer. Not sure what connecting via cable would do, but I might try it. I've been hesitant to remove it from the slot.

I do have dual card slots, but I don't write to both at the same time. I tried that at the outset and found it too difficult to work with. I realize in controlled situations it might be a good idea, but it wasn't for me.

I write a raw to one (faster card) and JPEG fine to the other. That way I have a backup and a JPEG to instantly distribute via WiFi when I need to send it in real time, plus a backup. The only downside of this method is that it provides shorter bursts before the buffer fills as it’s writing to both cards simultaneously. The other option is to write raw - raw. Using either of these is as simple as a menu setting. To me, that’s more useful than setting for overflow as I can deal with a full card just by looking in the viewfinder and changing a card when necessary.

I started doing that. But I found it slowed my FPS, and I needed the high speeds.

Yes, it does - the price of redundancy.
