I’ve just come in from knit and natter, it was quiet today. The noisy lots gone on a trip to coul y newham. I didn’t want to go because it’s just a small indoor shopping centre with not much to amuse me. The girls who don’t get out in a car 🚙 go, they enjoy it very much.

I’m still tired today and fell asleep last night 6ish until 10ish today. Don’t know weather I’m sleeping more with these tablets, hahaha. I can’t sleep much more than I do. We’ve got no rain yet but it’s due at 3ish. I haven’t seen Karen today, and will be going to Wendy’s tomorrow. Missing Josephine, it was a week today she came. Seems ages ago.

Stay safe all of you and love to yawl,,,,hugs special for poorly 👯‍♀️ sisters.

Good morning all from a sunny but cold (4C) Norfolk. Not a lot planned today although it looks as though I'm due for a dip in the frog pond. Found a row out of place and definitely can't cover it up so splash, splash though might try and tink as the rows aren't very long. Looks like an exciting afternoon. Have a good day. xx

Hi everyone, I have been a bit hit & miss on here lately. My sleeping time seems to have taken a dramatic turn, and I am sleeping 2 or 3 times a day, for a few hours at a time; but still being very tired each time I wake. I think the amount of sleep I have had for the previous few days, would take me into next year, if I was only sleeping during the nights! Perhaps I am finally catching up o all of the sleep I missed out on, while I was working; so maybe I can get back to the regular nightly sleeps ...... that would be good!

Now on to find out what everyone has been up to, while I have been absent! Enjoy your day! xoxoxo

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:30 am EDT and 10'c (50'F) going up to 15'C (59'F)
Yesterday at work was so slow. The day started with some beeps from the day before and not much was added during the day. I knit while I was sitting waiting and finished the brioche hat. I only used a fraction of the 2 balls so I decided to start a cowl in the same pattern. But mum happened. She distracted me so much that I had to restart my knitting 3 times. Mum was bored so she decided to clean out in the garage and found my 1 and only storage tub out there. She was bringing things from the tub inside and claiming them because I hadn't touched the tub in 2 years, so I was scrambling to get my things back and pack them in my storage downstairs. Every time that I put my knitting down there was a mess when I tried to pick it up again and I had to restart. But I finally got it going last night.
Canada is closing its borders ... to dogs. 3 dogs imported for adoption have tested positive for rabies despite documentation saying they had their vaccination. So the border has been closed to adoption dogs from 100 countries while this is investigated.
The government has re-examined the cut to taxes on gasoline/petrol. (They've figured out how much they are "missing" by giving the cut). So the tax cut will be reversed just before the long weekend. The energy critic says that gasoline/petrol will be up around $2 per litre once all the tax cuts are reversed. Another reason to not want to go into Whitby for work.
I found out that the pharmacy in the industrial area on the other side of town has the bivalent covid shots so mum and DD are going to check it out today.
My swift and winder arrived in a big box. The swift is huge. The winder in pieces and needs to be assembled. I need to take pictures of them.

I was there several times yesterday. I'm sure you will get it fixed the way that you want.

Hopefully you'll adjust to the new medication.
I'm not much of a shopper either, unless it is yarn shopping

Good morning from a 55F and cloudy Shoreline area. Again no plans for the day so will get on with my knitting at some point. May do the vacuuming first. Maybe. I hope you all are having a good day and staying safe and well. xxxooo

I hope you beat all those dust bunnies.
Happy knitting.

Good morning all from a cloudy Norfolk, the sun is trying but not very hard. Not doing a lot today but have found a couple of patterns to try. Two waistcoats for me, so sent DH yarn buying yesterday so have enough for both. At last I've found something I want to do. Have a good day, I shall be knitting. Hope Saxy is OK today and if you're reading this Saxy how you feeling today? xx

Good evening, I hope you get some lovely sunshine during your day. We have been getting quite a bit of rain, over the last week, or so; but no flooding in my region, the ground is too dry, so the water is soaked up quite rapidly, so I might be able to plant a few things, to make my yard look a bit more interesting, and much more lizard friendly. I haven't seen the resident sleepy lizards for a couple of years now; but if they come out in the open this year, we will have to make sure Bundy doesn't hurt them. I am hoping that they have just been keeping themselves to their homeland, behind the shed! I should even have some extra strawberries; DH doesn't seem to like garden fresh strawberries, so as the lizards love strawberries, they will be able to have some!

I was looking for my carding brushes yesterday, so that I could card the raw wool that I have (almost 2 full fleeces) so that they will be much easier to spin. While I was looking for the brushes, I found another fleece that I had totally forgotten about; so now I need to check it to make sure it hasn't been infested with insects; which happened to a large amount of wool that my mum wasn't able to use; because of her deterioration in health, before she had to go into a Nursing Care Home, over 20 years ago now!

I hope you enjoy making your waistcoats! xoxoxo

Yes, just had to heat the stew up, might squeeze another meal out of it if I bulk it up with potatoes and suet dumplings. Heat is going great now, bread rolls done and cooling so I have decreed that this afternoon is knitting (isn't it always). xx

That sounds good to me. I looked at the stewing beef and roast beef in the store last weekend and kept walking. I got chicken instead. DD just finished off the last of the roast chicken by making stir fry with fried noodles. Not bad, but not filling either.

It's dark and drizzly outside and a cold wind is blowing. There are no birds or squirrels in the back yard so I'm going to wait until it is lighter, or some of the critters arrive.

The lady in town with the carding machine has too much fluff and is having a sale. DD wants to get some. She has drop spindled a sample from each of the roving braids that she got from this lady the last time that we were there. They are all colourful and soft. Some are merino and some are a blend with silk. DD is quite happy.
I hope your fleece is in good shape.

Sorry about being AWOL yesterday. I tried to break up an argument between mum and DD and DD ending up trying to pick a fight with me. She was taunting me to make it a physical fight, but she has about 50 pounds and a lot more muscle, so I wouldn't go there. She said some nasty things trying to get me fight back, but I wouldn't, so she stormed off upstairs. Later she came down and said she wanted to apologize, but she turned her back on me and apologized to mum, then went back upstairs. Yesterday it was very frosty in this house. Today we are being politely civil. I'll take that.
I was watching the procession from Buckingham palace and the one person who looks the most tightly wound is Prince Andrew. King Charles (still weird) looked better on the longer procession through London than on the uphill procession through Edinburgh.
I got notice that my work will be closed on Monday to watch the queen's funeral. The provincial government has said business as usual. The premier doesn't want to pay for his workers to take a day off, he wants them to observe a moment of silence at work instead. So schools will also be open. I'm glad I don't work for the provincial government.
I got the extra ball from my LYS and have figured out how to do the 2 colour half fisherman's rib backwards. The edges don't look as tidy as they did before but I will live with that.

So sorry that things got a bit feisty, then frosty, at your home; I hope all has settled down to regular emotions now and continue that way for a while!

My country had a PH on Thursday Sept 22, to remember the Queen, so there were many people who have had to have appointments rescheduled to a later day; I am now waiting to be notified of my rescheduled appointment for my final post cataract surgery; then I will need to make an appointment with an optometrist, to make sure I don't need to get new spectacles (which I don't think I will need) 🤞🏼🤞🏼🙄😏 xoxoxo

I just realized that today is the first time in weeks that I haven't received a "your internal battery is low" on this laptop. I think I'll still take it to the pc repair guy on the weekend.
