There have been many discussions of this device over the past few years. I had the original version and did not find that it did anything that a photographer could do, assuming the photographer had an understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO, along with a full understanding of how his/her camera worked.

There is an Arsenal 2 edition. "using similar algorithms to those in self driving cars. The ad discussion suggests it uses AI to improve your photos.

NO !! Prbrandon, even tho it has algorithms to those in self driving cars, you can not jump with your camera over a 250 foot cliff and expect it do do as well as the Tesla in California.

It's just another gadget designed to sell to the uninformed, save your money for something useful.

Using the analogy of self-driving cars, then, Arsenal may do the work of getting the camera settings close to where they should be, doing this portion of the work for you. But that's the easy part of photography, isn't it?

Arsenal will not choose a more scenic route to take, select the correct time of day to travel, predict the best lighting conditions, decide which lens to use, or even alter the camera settings to achieve a creative effect you have in mind.

So, for example, your waterfall photo will come out in focus and properly exposed, but will not be the smooth, silky long-exposure effect you had in mind. Even with Arsenal, you will still have to be the photographer.

Run away. Don't look back. Marketing for the Arsenal was great. Not so much the hardware in my opinion.

If you want a useful device for your camera, get a Pluto trigger. It will help you capture lightning shots and can also be set up as a remote trigger, infrared trigger, sound trigger, etc. Neat little device.

I have the Arsenal 2 . If you don't have a lot of knowledge about photography and experience it will help. With the December software upgrade you can now do panoramics. some of the functions are quite useful such as the mode to take multiple exposures to remove tourists. The night-star shot works well. I am still trying to perfect the focus stack. It is just another tool in your camera bag.

The new Pano feature has been released for the iPhone and they are working on a couple of fixes for Android. I was lucky to have won a Arsenal 2 pro during the Kickstart program. EOS-R only has one slot. With Arsenal 2, it allows me to write to a memory card in the device. I have tested it using many techniques. It works for almost everything I do but no software is 100% bug free. There are certain things that when I am lazy it does things for me.

Just throw your money in the toilet and flush, if you've got GAS this bad for a useless product.

I have the original Arsenal that is brand new and never been out of the box. Never used. I am willing to sell it for $150 if you are interested.

Thanks.

I thought about purchasing it. My wife asked me “what does it do?” After I told her, she said, “Stop dreaming and go back to sleep!”

If the item can do better than you, you need to get proper edumakation how to use that pikture taking thingy.
