Maybe I should see if any interest for my D850 on here. You all got me thinking

Price it right and you will have several interested parties. You will need to post photos and shutter count. Also, display some photos of your lenses. You will find more interest here than you anticipate.

Don't sell the d850 before you check with us hogs first. I would be interested and sure I could make u more than a trade in or sale to a shop. Thanks Bryan

You can always try to sell your gear here on UHH.

You are 100% correct re the fees - they can be surprisingly high, when there is both a listing fee AND a final value fee.

You can use their shipping, or your own. When I sell something on eBay, I compare their shipping cost and the discount shipping company I use (Shippo.com) and I use whichever is cheaper. Both have tracking, and both offer a signature if you choose that option.

eBay now pays out within a couple of days.

eBays current cost for selling photo gear, at least for me, is at 12.9%

That’s a very low click count for the D850. Should generate good interest.
If I was in the market for a D850 I surely would be interested in it.

They are an English camera dealer. The recently opened a branch here in the States. I have dealt with them a couple times and was very pleased with the results. They are gaining a good reputation here in the States.

I would add B&H and Adorama to the group

You might want to take just a few minutes and go to the MPB site and get their bids, which are instant, and see what they offer first if only to gauge their trade in value. Good luck!

And KEH, too. I've checked with both, and there could be major differences.

KEH was about 200.00 less in their quote than Rkbert's was...

If you sell on EBay
1 - too many fees
2 - you have to worry about refunds
if the buyer isn't happy for what ever reason

I'm headed to my local camera store tomorrow afternoon to see what price I can get on my D850 with grip and D5 battery with about 3,000 clicks. Also my D3S with about 27,000 clicks. I called and they say they are in the market for DSLR camera gear because most people are not ready to go into mirrorless price range at this time. I will also see what trade-in I can get for about 10 lens. This may be easier than all the selling.

I suggest contacting multiple reputable places. Some markets may be able to support better offers than others. For instance...Precision Camera in Austin is not currently buying mirror box cameras at all.
