I'm headed to my local camera store tomorrow afternoon to see what price I can get on my D850 with grip and D5 battery with about 3,000 clicks. Also my D3S with about 27,000 clicks. I called and they say they are in the market for DSLR camera gear because most people are not ready to go into mirrorless price range at this time. I will also see what trade-in I can get for about 10 lens. This may be easier than all the selling.

You might want to take just a few minutes and go to the MPB site and get their bids, which are instant, and see what they offer first if only to gauge their trade in value. Good luck!

If you have a smaller amount of equipt, consider listing it here. If someone has a need, you will be able to get more for your piece and will help a hogger save a few bucks, as well

Mpb.com is an online used camera source. They have quite a bit of used gear at pretty competitive prices. They tend to offer fair prices to folks looking to sell gear to them. You may also want to look at KEH.com as well.

They are an English camera dealer. The recently opened a branch here in the States. I have dealt with them a couple times and was very pleased with the results. They are gaining a good reputation here in the States.

Having sold glass to operations of this type, don't hold your breath on getting the first estimate of value. Once they get it, they put it through a full body-cavity search inspection and any imperfection works against you and the price drops. Their big bug-a-boo is fungus which can be almost invisible but they can find it.

Although it might be easier, you probably will get far less than trying to sell them here or on eBay.
Remember, they are buying them to resell and need to make a profit.
Selling them yourself, that profit will be in YOUR pocket.
I have sold several items on here rather quickly and painless.

Yeah, it will be easier but the money you loose will be substantial by you trading it in.
If you have money to burn then it's OK.
On average, I get between 40-60% more selling it myself on Ebay, here, and on Fred Miranda.
I am happy to keep the thousands of dollars myself that I can use on newer equipment.

I see now the loss. I went on the website for their used equipment and they will definitely undercut the value. My stuff is like new so I may look another route. My D850 has only 3000 and some clicks with Nikon grip and D5 battery for 9fps. I'm scaling down and just going to keep about 5 lens. My 15-30 2.8 24-70 2.8 70-200 2.8 200-500 105 1.4e for portraits and 35 1.4 as a prime. The others get very little use

I’ve traded in a few items to MPB and I’ve always gotten the original quote. Perhaps you’re overstating the condition of your equipment. I wouldn't touch a lens with fungus.

On here is much preferable than eBay. You’ll get a much larger audience on eBay but they’ll ding you with fees every time you turn around. If you set a reserve price you pay more. If you don’t offer the cheapest shipping it’ll cost more, but that shipping won’t include tracking and a signature. And they hold your money for a month after the sale.
