Excellent set, Tom, you have a winner in that lens.

I am still learning how to get clean crisp photos out of my recently purchased Tamron sp 150-600mm lens for my Sony A77ll. I had just attached the lens when I saw this hawk grab something on the ground and ate it. Then it flew off only to come back within a couple hundred feet and rest upon a fence post. It seemed to just stay there and pose for me. There were a few dead leaves between us, but the lens did not seem to care. Here are a few of the photos I took of this creature.

Enjoy your new lens, good job on the hawk and the "not a hawk".

I got one of the first generation versions the month they were released and have since upgraded to the G2. It is usually paired with my 7DII or 80D for small birds in the yard or water birds over at the park.

Great hawk portraits and I like that plane, too.

You did good with the new lens.
Thanks! Still learning. I kind of like what it does with the backgrounds. I find that very interesting.

Thanks! Did I ever tell you that I still own a garage in Prospect heights. Just north of Palatine rd. and 83 behind a friends house.

You are correct, sir! Thanks! I had almost no time for preparation at all!
