I was a photojournalist in the auto sports venue for 15 years. I witnessed a lot of jerks in the business...mostly the ones that were marginally successful or photo hacks. The truly great photogs are usually pleasent to be around. I think it is a lack of self confidence that leads some of them to be like they are. My son is a photog for NASA and he and his compatriates are more than helpful to any on that asks a question. Possibly, the jerks are afraid to pass on info that may not bet exactly perfect and it is a defence mechanism...and no, I'm not a Psycologist and hopefully not a jerk.

lmao, I sat here for minute trying to figure out how everyone would have one and then I doubted what I had grown up thinking twat referred too.

Hi, I'm new to this site. I've been taking pictures for the last 60 years or so and am just starting to get serious. I guess I've been a "twat" about other things, but not photography. One thing I've noticed here is the lack of quality grammer and spelling. Did any of you finish grade school before finishing high school? Or, is it the instruction that is lacking? Communication skills are very important in about everything you will do. Learn the proper word(s) then learn how to spell them before you publish.

tz227, are you an english teacher? part of the grammar police? If bad spelling and puncuation is the worst thing you have to complain about, you are a very lucky man. We are not all world class typist, or strong spellers, but we can get our ponit across. besides if we could communicate well this would be a writing website instead of a PHOTOGRAPHY web site. So in the words of the drill instructor from "stripes" "lighten up francis"

well mrTZ. I am a writer, published author, and editor first published in 1971.
On this site I relax, let my hair down and enjoy it for what it is, a friendly forum of common interests. Not a teatise on politically and grammaticly fastidious blather.
better to say sumpin in the spirit of the moment and the topic than to detract from the impact of the statement through undo criticisms....
If it aint broke dont fix it!
