The scariest moment is just before you buy a mirrorless camera.

No, the scariest moment is when you turn it on for the first time and realize it isn't just like your old DSLR -- you think "What the crap have I gotten myself into!"

Not really, many of those lenses are usable on film cameras - that was my point. The markets are not truly distinct.

And almost any lens is adaptable to any body these days. I just ran across an adaptor that allows OM lenses to be used on z camera bodies. I ordered one for only 30.00. I still have a bag full of OM lenses so why not give them a try? They will be manual focus but they always were anyway.

Don't let the photographer you were yesterday stop you from buying a mirrorless camera tomorrow.

If you want to be the creative type, to be an artist, you have to be willing to buy a mirrorless camera.

I have only a 28mm leftover OM lens, but even for just that single lens the adapter was well worth it.

Using the helical in the adapters the lens now focuses from infinity to three inches from the filter rim.

Where have the DSLs gone. Gone to camera bags and trash everyone.
Where have the MLCs gone. Gone to Cell phones everyone.
When we will we ever learn....

Walked out this morning
Couldn't believe what I saw
A hundred million DSLRs
Had washed up on the shore
Seems I'm not alone in going mirrorless
Now there's a hundred million DSLRs
That no longer have a home

Mine are still working,
one as primary camera,
one as backup.

And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
Mirrorless cameras rock and roll.
