You must be joking. Every thing I heard about Abe’s scares me.

I live in Brooklyn, about 15 miles away. Both ADORAMA and B&H are great stores and are far above the rest.
I have no complains about either.

What ever I need and my wife prohibits me from buying they usually have. I have never gone wrong.

Of course he's joking. I would think you had been here long enough to be familiar with his posts.

Paul,
So what up? You and every Hogger know that Abe’s of Maine has a bad rep. They need to work very hard to get in the same league as ADORAMA and B&H.

By the way, Abe’s is not in the State of Maine! They really should be called Abe’s of New Joisey.

Is Adriana an OK company to deal with?

I have had good experiences with Adorama and I will do business with them again.

As a longtime pro, I have used Adorama with complete confidence and satisfaction for decades.

Hey every dealer has some hiccups, you should listened to folks scream about treatment and service from B&H.

Adorama is second only to B&H in USA sales of gear, and their Printique by Adorama lab service is consistently rated the top photo lab in the USA.

No dealer is perfect, but I can recommend Adorama.
Cheers and best to you.

I bought a relatively large order from Adorama in 2002 (about $3500). It was OK but FedEx took my package around for several days. They have a long back order for the Metz flash. I called them a lot so they sent me a unit I believed was returned by someone else. I didn't like it so I returned it.
I really do not complain about that but I think I was unlucky. I haven't used them since.

I just checked out the site for "Abe's of Maine" and although I saw no bargains at a glance in either the new or used. I have not seen any bargains in real equipment from B&H, although I get their daily emails. I have bought frequently from them and they mail out from the bargain list quickly. Yet I have not bought anything above the $50 range as I see no bargains. Adorama and B&H were both regulars when there were photo mags with pages of supposed bargains. I presume Abe is also Kosher as someone pointed out Adorama was like B&H in that respect.-------------If you want to sell used equipment---post on ebay and you will at least get a handle of the market.------

I have used both Adorama and B&H. I find they are very good companies and very reputable. I do end to go to Adorama because of the shipping. B&H uses FedEx and in my area they suck. Always late and sometimes they have even said it was delivered and it wasn't. I can understand if it was a once and done happening but with FedUp it is constant in my area. I don't need another hassel in my life

Perhaps he left out an "LOL"??? Either that or he's gone off the deep end. LOL

CHG_CANON was joking. If you've been around UHH for a while, you'd know that most here avoid Abe's of Maine like the plague. It's very often grey market merchandise that they sell and they tend to use "bait and switch" tactics. You won't find much positive feedback from UHHer's. I just noticed that you're fairly new to the forum, so it's very possible that you've missed comments about Abe's. And although CHG_CANON recommended them , he was just kidding around. He's a font of knowledge, but he does enjoy a little sarcasm now and then. I've gone to him and received a lot of great advice.

My experience with both B&H and Adorama are excellent. Sometimes they won't answer all of my questions, probably for competitive reasons. I would , and recently have bought from Adorama and on line service was outstanding. I will see if that changes when I get my order.
