I attended a rodeo in the small central Washington town of Waterville last Sunday. It was part of the North Central Washington County Fair. While small, the rodeo was still packed with lots of action which I think made for some fun photos. Those cowboys really take a beating in their events. Here's a sampling of the photos. I hope you enjoy them.

Interesting rodeo photos. You have a talent for capturing pictures of this kind of interaction of man and beast.

These are some really fantastic photographs.
If I may ask, what settings were used and what was your equipment???

Thanks, Tom

Thanks Tom. I used my trusty Nikon D500 and I pulled out my old Nikon 80x400 MM lens for these shots. I have the original version of that lens and it has not been out of its case in several years. Although universally disliked, that lens has always produced decent shots for me. All were shot in manual mode at (as I recall) 1/1250, f/8, ISO 200 for most of the shots.

Very good action shots. I notice that the bull riders wear helmets, but the horse riders do not???
