Thank you. I enjoy the airshow most years. Next year I'm not sure if I'll go because I want to plan an epic (read, expensive) trip for my 60th b-day. However next year is Oshkosh's 70th anniversary so it's probably going to be a "big, big, shoe" as Ed Sullivan (?) used to say....he was before my time. I was 11 when he died, but I'm not sure I remember seeing his show. It ended in 1971, according to Google. I would have been 7 and probably not too interested (or awake) for late-night TV.
Great set, a long way from when I was jumping out of C 119s

Two impressive aircraft. Every now and again one will fly over Zion, but it usually catches me off guard without my camera.

That might safer than staying in the C119. Didn't they have quite a few crash during Vietnam?
Very nice set. Thanks for sharing.

Very good photos. Bomb bay doors open is a surprise.
Several years ago at a local air show there was a F-35 roped off to keep observers some distance away. There were 2 mechanics working on it with the side access panels open before the show started. I walked up to the rope with my 18-300 zoom and began to take photos. Moments later a soldier with a machine gun walked up to me and said "Sir I am sorry, but you are not allowed to take any photos as long as the access panels are open. After they are closed you may take as many as you want". Needless to say, I complied. What a great plane and according to the pilot we have the most advanced technology in the world. Hope he is right!

He IS right! Have you ever seen a Russian MIG up close? Baling wire and chewing gum comes to mind. Not to say they weren't effective aircraft but... I worked at the US Navy Test Pilot School for three years and saw and worked on all kinds of aircraft from several different countries. I never saw anything that came close to US built airplanes.
Great pictures. I was the lead designer on the F35 Weapons Bay Doors. Spent years getting it right.
