Very nice set. Loved #4
Thanks. That is a sleeper shot for me. Wasn't sure how it would turn out, but when I cropped the wing tips off and you could see the pilot - that was a keeper.
My daughter was crew chief on a 135. I got to crawl around in one, cool! As far as I know, they’re all from the 1950s-60s. The engines were updated with jet engines when the old prop jobs couldn’t keep up with jet fighters. And talk about a busy dashboard in the cockpit! Lots of gages multiplied by four.
GREAT PICTURES !!!!! How did you get the skyraider shot coming at you?

I used my Skyraider call, "here Skyraider, here Skyraider".
I kill me. Anyway I was standing close to show center, and the aircraft was doing a mid field 360. I look for these shots on the props because shooting at 1/200 sec I have my best chance to keep the shot in focus. The only bad luck on this is the prop covers the pilot and makes it a bit darker than I like. I tried to lighten it up a bit but with the prop there it didn't look right. So it is what it is.
Thanks for the nice comments.
Nice photos and very sharp. The A-1D Skyraider is one iconic propeller aircraft that I love to see flying.
