Good morning all from sunny Norfolk, temperatures are forecast to go into the 30C's by Friday. Woke up this morning light headed, heart pounding with a mouth like blotting paper, think lack of food is kicking in. That hospital snack and cup of tea is going to taste wonderful this evening. Think I will doze in my chair until time to go, not seeing straight enough to do anything. Have a good day, I'm sure it will be better than mine, might be back this evening. xx

Thinking of you today, good luck xx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:30 am EDT and 13'C (55'F) with full sun. It is going up to 26'C (79'F) with high humidity and pop-up isolated thunderstorms.
The back yard is calm now. Two females are in heat at the same time so there has been running chases, squeals and barks as the males give chase. The gray female is very speedy and few males have been able to keep up. The two females have been crossed each other's paths which is confusing the males giving chase. There is one chubby male (he looks like a pregnant female) trying to chase, but he is only able to bounce after first one than the other.
Is every one switched to Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Firefox browsers? Today is the day that Internet Explorer stops working. Almost all our computers at work have been updated to remove the Internet Explorer over the last month. In the process, we found a couple of applications that don't like the other browsers, so our application people have been working non-stop to find a workaround.
Andrea Mowry's Feel Good Shawl was posted on Ravelry yesterday. My LYS has their own yarn called Feel Good yarn, so I told the owner I'm going to do the shawl in her yarn. I pulled all her yarn that I have in my stash and found out my colour selection is fairly limited, mostly greys and teals. So I'm running out at lunch to pick up some other colours. DD is going to have lunch ready for me when I come back. The Feel Good yarn is fingering and the pattern calls for DK, but I don't really need another 8' shawl so it should be fine in the smaller size. If not, I'll hold the yarn double.

Hoping your day proceeds without problem. That snack will taste good despite being hospital food.

That would be wonderful. It is not healthy to live with the high temperatures. Poor Harold has to put up with the fact that I need to keep the air at 74 or 75 and then I may have a poncho on. I am just thinking of what a funny couple we make. He is dressed in light weight clothing and barefoot. I am wearing long sleeves, long pants, ponchos and sometimes a hat and always shoes and socks.

It's the same with this house. I'm down to clam diggers (long shorts), light sleeveless top and Croc beach sandals. Mum is wearing long heavy pants, a long sleeved shirt, woolly socks and a cardigan. And is eyeing my fingerless mitts. It is 23'C (74'F) inside the house. She won't go outside until the sun warms the air up. In winter she has a full length down-filled coat and insulated ski pants.

Another cold 56F day, at least the sun is trying to peek out. Might try to do some weed eating today. I have a battery weed eater and it's a cumbersome as using the corded version because the battery end is so heavy unless I get it balanced right. Made spaghetti last night and leftovers will be even better today.
Have a good Tuesday ladies. Hugs to June, Ang and Jacky. xoxo

Tonight is spaghetti night here too. We have been eating barbeque almost non-stop and it is time for something else.
DD just pulled a bunch of radishes and we are using the leaves to make spaghetti florentine instead of spinach.

Even more so for the next generation. xx

A lot of the next generation are staying with their parents, so not sure what they will be doing when their parents retire. Maybe by that time they will have saved up enough for a downpayment or can afford a mortgage or can take over their parent's mortgage????
One of the low-income housing complexes had to be closed yesterday as part of the roof collapsed.
Port Hope was trying to get a tiny home village set up in 1300 acres of land to the west of Port Hope but the province stopped the sale of the land. Minister of Government and Consumer Services, which requested that the transaction be “set aside” due to “emerging provincial land use initiatives and other provincial priorities.” We suspect that one of the current government's supporters wants the land because it includes several hundred feet of lakefront and would sell for top price for large estate homes. The land also includes 700 acres of environmentally protected land that Port Hope already said it would keep that for recreational use, as it is currently used that way by private recreation groups.
This is all after a binding contract (that took 2 years to complete) was signed with the current owner and just before the closing date.

Having a roof over our heads is a basic right, and everyday that is being taken away. Free housing might not have been the right term to use, but all the same everyone deserves housing. xoxo

Everyone from that tent encampment was offered low cost housing or no-cost shelter beds, but only 3 took that offer. The rest were back in the park or had moved to nearby parks, with new tents by sundown.

Hello girls, it’s Tuesday so that means knit and natter. Karen wanted me to go in for a chat and a drink chocolate 🍫. Andrew went down and got his hair cut 💇‍♂️ and Karen never stopped talking, about her dad and what was happening and how difficult things are. I feel for her. She was close to her dad. She had the undertakers there yesterday. It just didn’t seem right to leave her as she was reminiscing. She. is going away on Thursday, there’s been something booked for 3 days, regarding son and grandchildren near to Surrey. I told her I might not get in, in the morning as I want to stay near Cassie to make sure Josephine’s bedroom is tidy, and clean 🧽. Even if she doesn’t get here.

There’s still a strike going on with the trains next week and it’s not looking good. We shall just have to reschedule, we won’t give in. Then….I went to knit and natter. We were very low on the ground with people. Then before we knew it Eileen, our leader, had an angina attack. She took some sprays and went off the planet…. We sat for 15mims or so then sent for her partner to come and get her, in which time she was coming round.

I’ve heard that on Friday we are going to get hot 🥵 weather. Lynn and myself will be on a coach trip to Harrogate. I might be able to do without my cardigan , .
Stay safe everyone. And all my sisters that need a hug then you’ve got it. Saxy, hope your ok, Angela and june. And anyone else who’s having a bad day love yawl.
189 br br Hello girls, it’s Tuesday so that means... (show quote)

Hopefully the coach's windows can be lowered. Moving hot air is better than still hot air.

I am surprised at the number of people I know who did not have their homes paid for when they retired. I am sure it is going to be very rough for them now to make mortgage payments and buy food.

And it doesn't look like things will be getting any better in the near term.
I get a 1.5% increase in my pay next April, but taxes and cost of living have gone up 6.7%!

Hoping to hear from you after your hospital visit. Assuming food and drink will make you feel somewhat better. Hoping the test gives useful information to make you feel much better. 💖🌹

Why is it when we go through our stash we never have exactly what we need or want? I can picture gray and teal working well together.
