Hoping to hear from you after your hospital visit. Assuming food and drink will make you feel somewhat better. Hoping the test gives useful information to make you feel much better. šŸ’–šŸŒ¹

Think I'm a bit dehydrated although I seem to be drinking gallons. xx

It's the same with this house. I'm down to clam diggers (long shorts), light sleeveless top and Croc beach sandals. Mum is wearing long heavy pants, a long sleeved shirt, woolly socks and a cardigan. And is eyeing my fingerless mitts. It is 23'C (74'F) inside the house. She won't go outside until the sun warms the air up. In winter she has a full length down-filled coat and insulated ski pants.

There are times I get so cold I turn the electric fireplace as high as it goes (82) and put on lots of extra clothes. Poncho, mitts, and hats. Still do not get warm. If the sun is out it definitely warms me up much quicker than anything else. Doctor did tests and has no idea why this happens.

Tonight is spaghetti night here too. We have been eating barbeque almost non-stop and it is time for something else.
DD just pulled a bunch of radishes and we are using the leaves to make spaghetti florentine instead of spinach.

On my menu tonight is creamy taco spaghetti. Hope he likes it better than regular spaghetti. I tried something new this week. Pizza fixings on a large tortilla. He likes pizza and tortilla. He tried but he was not able to eat tortilla pizza. I loved it. I ate mine and the portion of his he could not eat.

A lot of the next generation are staying with their parents, so not sure what they will be doing when their parents retire. Maybe by that time they will have saved up enough for a downpayment or can afford a mortgage or can take over their parent's mortgage????
One of the low-income housing complexes had to be closed yesterday as part of the roof collapsed.
Port Hope was trying to get a tiny home village set up in 1300 acres of land to the west of Port Hope but the province stopped the sale of the land. Minister of Government and Consumer Services, which requested that the transaction be ā€œset asideā€ due to ā€œemerging provincial land use initiatives and other provincial priorities.ā€ We suspect that one of the current government's supporters wants the land because it includes several hundred feet of lakefront and would sell for top price for large estate homes. The land also includes 700 acres of environmentally protected land that Port Hope already said it would keep that for recreational use, as it is currently used that way by private recreation groups.
This is all after a binding contract (that took 2 years to complete) was signed with the current owner and just before the closing date.
A lot of the next generation are staying with thei... (show quote)

I like the idea of everyone having a roof over their head. However, the person needs to put some effort forward to make that happen. Hard to believe, but some people do not want that roof.
I also believe everyone should also have enough to eat. My grandson learned a lesson about people that are begging for money for food. When grandson was shopping for his evening meal he purchased a second meal exactly the same as his. He approached a man begging for money for food. He offered the meal to the man. The man refused it and said he wanted money so he could purchase what he wanted.

Hopefully the coach's windows can be lowered. Moving hot air is better than still hot air.

Even better if the coach is air conditioned.

And it doesn't look like things will be getting any better in the near term.
I get a 1.5% increase in my pay next April, but taxes and cost of living have gone up 6.7%!

Many of the homes in my little corner of the world are side by side two family. More and more of these two family homes are occupied with parents on one side and adult child on the second side. Nearby to me a mother lived on one side and her daughter and her husband lived on the other side. The elderly mother died and the daughter now lives on one side and her daughter and family live on the second side. The building cannot be legally sold as a separate condo units.

Good morning all from sunny Norfolk, temperatures are forecast to go into the 30C's by Friday. Woke up this morning light headed, heart pounding with a mouth like blotting paper, think lack of food is kicking in. That hospital snack and cup of tea is going to taste wonderful this evening. Think I will doze in my chair until time to go, not seeing straight enough to do anything. Have a good day, I'm sure it will be better than mine, might be back this evening. xx

Thinking of you Jacky and hope all has gone well for you today. xxxooo

Good morning from a 49F and partly cloudy Shoreline area. Off to a physical therapy appointment this morning. I think progress is being made. My sciatica doesn't seem to be hurting any longer. My shoulder discomfort comes and goes even though I'm following instructions on it. Maybe my knitting is bother it? No other plans today, so will get on with that knitting at some point. I hope you all are having a good day. I sure miss our missing sisters. Love you all! xxxooo

Oh my sciatica can really hurt and make life miserable. Glad yours is behaving for now. I know knitting makes my shoulder ache. I especially have problems when I work with heavy weight, chunky, yarns. I get some relief by sleeping with my elbow above my head.

I'm mostly working with fingering weight yarn, so at least that shouldn't be a problem. I often sleep with my arm under my pillow and I think that could be part of the problem. Will keep working at getting it to feel better. xxxooo

Hello, girls, it been dry warm day 16c although thereā€™s a sea šŸŒŠ mist now. As long as itā€™s not there on Friday, Harrogate where Iā€™m going is well off the sea. I e had Cassie this morning and sheā€™s done very well. Even working while talking bless her. She is really a nice person. She was offering to take my sheets home and washing and drying them. Bless her. I say she has enough to do with 2 children šŸ‘¦. Itā€™s only because they are too heavy to put on the line. It was a nice thought though wasnā€™t it?

Wellā€¦.Josephine and myself have decided to cancel next week with the problem of the train šŸš‚ strike. Itā€™s not worth the worrying. What if she got up here and couldnā€™t get home? Can you imagine her and me crafting all day and everyday chatting and laughing šŸ˜†. Sounds terrible doesnā€™t it? Haha šŸ˜† no, seriously itā€™s safer cancelling. We WILL get a meet soon as we can.

Iā€™ve been to Wendyā€™s and took her some big soup, she loves it and I got a couple of cakes off her. We like to swap.

How are my worried sisters? Thinking of you juneā€¦ā€¦. Saxy youā€™re in my mind, and Angela have you decided what to do. And if anyone else is feeling like they are Iā€™ll then Iā€™ll send a love. Stay safe, love yawl. Xxx

That would be wonderful. It is not healthy to live with the high temperatures. Poor Harold has to put up with the fact that I need to keep the air at 74 or 75 and then I may have a poncho on. I am just thinking of what a funny couple we make. He is dressed in light weight clothing and barefoot. I am wearing long sleeves, long pants, ponchos and sometimes a hat and always shoes and socks.

I had that with Albert jinx, only the other way around. He would be sitting with a blanket over him, heating on full blast šŸ’„ and I would be passing out with the heat. He just couldnā€™t retain the heat in his body, he took so many pills šŸ’Š didnā€™t help much.
