On this visit the sun rise was unobstructed. Shooting into the light with the 200-600mm plus 1.4tc, my widest aperture was f/9. The first six shots were of shadowed birds with sunlight behind them. I was able to enhance the shots during post-processing. They were shot during my hike to Ibis Pond rookery.

The Ibis Pond rookery is a festival of varying species, Rob. I am happy with that last shot because I had to take it directly into the rising sun's glare.
