On this visit the sun rise was unobstructed. Shooting into the light with the 200-600mm plus 1.4tc, my widest aperture was f/9. The first six shots were of shadowed birds with sunlight behind them. I was able to enhance the shots during post-processing. They were shot during my hike to Ibis Pond rookery.

The rest of the set shows early morning activity at Ibis Pond on Pinckney Island.

Thanks, Susan. I take this trip once a year. When you are at a rookery, birds occupy your time.

Thanks, Ken, the light was very harsh behind him and I had to soften it in PP.

You are getting to be an expert with both the camera and post processing software.

Thanks, Sylvia, he was on the top of the highest tree, forcing me to shoot into the rising sun.
