Tracy B, the R5 is an amazing camera, I went from a 5DIV to the R5 and can't tell you why it's so great but I found it to just do better until I pushed the ISO too high. I believe the two and a half times the pixels size will damage the picture (noise) on high ISO. The smaller size pixel to fit them in the 24X26mm picture aria has to do with aria.

Worse, much worse!! Unholy Cellphones have spread like a potent virus and they like a virus mutate and they have more and more tools to infect; Low-Cost-Effective software [many free] and for us old eye big finger desktop people, these programs can be used on our PCs.

In the closeup section, the use of a Microscope Objective to make a DSLR Microscope is tempting. I have the equipment, the time, the know-how, but not the motivation. Then Mr. Amazon offered me a Cellphone microscope for about $20. I bit... now what next... "Clunky DSLR" cameras are doomed as ImageCreator implies.

I've only taken practice shots as of yet, but I pushed the ISO and haven't noticed it being worse than my 5D Mark IV. I usually use a flash when it's to dark.

We should have a new "mirrorless' forum. This way, those of us who are satisfied with our clunky, old, DSLR's won't have to listen to the constant preaching about the mirrorless. It almost makes me vomet when I'm told I will never truly have a feel for life until I kneel at the mirrorlessremote the altar and convert to the no mirror god.

Glad too here your vometing. Its bettor too ejact it then retrain it. Bettor too live on their past error then to advants your commfart zoon. Stamp past !

Tracy B. I am not putting the R5 down. Just pointing out a high pixel (34mm type) camera will be more problematic than one with a lower count.
Will not part with the R5 you will love it.
