Here is a thought. Mirrorless seems to be the way things are going. So if there is a main photography section and various groups catering to specific and special interests, then just as there is a film section, or could be a pinhole camera section, maybe it should be that the DSLR should be the system that corralled into its own separate group.

I quit being afraid when I bought a mirrorless camera and none of my old DLSRs burst into smoke.
That's truly funny, Paul!

I think most UHH members are still unaware of most of the UHH sections. Witness the number of photographs posted in the "Main" section that should be in Gallery or other sections.
I personally think that UHH already has too many
overlapping sections.
Well Paul, what happened to all the GREAT images shot with DSLR’s? Do they all mysteriously turn into ( what the hell is this supposed be) shots?
Please enlighten me. I have great shots from both camps.

I think posting in the main section gets more view than in the other sections. If they are posted in Photo Gallery or Photo Analysis I would never see them.

With the wrong camera, success is probably 99% luck. But with a mirrorless camera, it's 100% the photographer.
Paul, had my first disappointment with my R5. I was indoors bad colors in room (a lot of red). Shooting HDR with my camera at 12,000 ISO and found the quality of picture not up my my 5D. I believe it's the high pixels being smaller than the 20 pixel 5D. Would like to try the R6 to the 5D as the have a same size pixels.
Any ideas?

You've got it! Too many sections that don't get much traffic. I can understand the new Lighting section, but I do not understand why there has to be a "Photo Analysis", "People Photography", "Photo Critique Section", "For Your Consideration", "Street Photography", "The Exploration of Digital Artistry", and maybe even "Post-Processing Digital Images". In my opinion, there is just way too much overlap. Just thinkin' and sayin'.

The EOS R5 will change how you think about mirrorless cameras, how you think about photography, how you think about life.
Any more questions?
BTW - what was the max ISO on the EOS 5D?
Y eh, Paul, The smaller pixel size of the about 50 Pixel R5 is not as good as the large pixel size about 20 pixel R6.
With the larger pixel we should be better off with the R6 at higher ISO. I would like to compare camera for camera at 12,000 ISO.
Paul, you just robbed me of my excuses. Shame on you.

I have to agree with you. Basically folks who get irritated about where something or the other is placed would be well-served to head out with cameras and click their shutter a few times.
I just went from the 5D Mark IV to the R5. It is exciting and I love to read posts about it. But, photography is what our main reason for being in this photography forum is in the first place. When I see a post about a Nikon camera, I skip it because I know nothing about that particular camera. When I see a post about capturing photos in snow, I'll read it. If you are not interested in Mirrorless camera's, just don't read those posts. But, to separate us wouldn't be a good idea. There will always be something or someone that irritates you, but just ignore it and move on.
