Good morning from a grey Surrey. Had a wonderful time yesterday. It was quite mild and no rain for our visit to the Windsor Illuminations. Lovely to be out with the girls.

This morning I am off to brunch with my friends and then I might start wrapping some presents, unless I get distracted by patchwork.

Happy Monday everyone and stay safe xx

Happy Monday.
Lovely light display.

Good morning all from a dull and cloudy Norfolk but reasonably pleasant outside 11C. Need to put all my stuff away today but will see if the local care home would like some of the shawls, scarves and hats for their residents. I really need to cut down on my numbers or stop knitting and the latter will not happen. Nothing else planned for the day so will, of course, carry on knitting. Have a good day, stay safe. xx

I'm sure the residents will love your donations.

Gosh, that must be chilly, lying in that snow!!! xxxx

Husky sled dogs do it all the time. They dig a hole in the snow and wrap their tails over their nose.
It's probably warmer laying on the snow than standing in the wind.

The most Harold does with cards is buy them and then signs his name. No matter who the card is for he signs his first and last name. Seriously signing your last name on a card to your wife or children? He got teased about it a lot so now he does it all the time. Then again he made me a Valentine's day card free hand. I still have that 50 year old card. I told him how special it is because it is not store bought. His reply was it would not be that special if I did it all the time. He was right about that.

He was right about that card being special. But he could do something else special. It HAS been 50 years.

I woke up hearing a snow plow go through before I could open my eyes... yes the dreaded snow is back!
And so is my herd.. snoozing at the end of the driveway. Counted seventeen, some are hiding behind the bushes. xoxox

Awesome. That looks like a healthy herd. They do look comfortable there.
Your yard looks like mine should.

I once opened a duplicate car to mine with my remote. I jumped into the driver's seat then realized it was the wrong car and popped back out and locked it again with my remote. That's not supposed to happen.

Afternoon girls, it’s been a beautiful autumn 🍂 day at 9C. I’ve been into Karen’s to get their new door key 🔑 to let Cassie in on Wednesday. Karen and Andrew are going to Surrey on Tuesday to Friday. Their son lives there. The gold medalist I often tell you about. He can’t come up at Christmas 🎅 so they are taking the gks Christmas presents 🎁. Of course we had to have a cup of chocolate while we chatted. Andrew was hinting that all we do is drink 🍺 chocolate 🍫. We just took no notice of him as we normally do….she’s got little else to do. New left arm is just about gone of use. And her hands are unable to straighten.

I got a text from Stephen to say he was going to the metro centre to shop with sue. They got stuck in a traffic accident line so have ended up only getting 3 hrs shopping 🛍 time. He went for his annual night out for Christmas and got a train to Newcastle. On the way back the train 🚂 was cancelled 😡, so they put him in a taxi and he got door to door 🚪 and got his ticket refunded. That was a good offer, because sue was going to have to pick him up from the station and bring him home. So all is good 😌. I’m hoping I get to see them this week. It’s nearly been a fortnight and that’s unusual for us, it they’ve like millions of others have shopping to do. I’ll see them next week. As long as everyone’s ok, that’s all that matters.

I’ve got my Christmas 🎄 lunch with the chat club on Tuesday. I’m looking forward to that. I hope Josephine is enjoying the lights at Windsor. I wish I was with them. Perhaps next door can take me on Tuesday when they go haha..and I’ll come home with them on Friday.I think it’s a good idea 👍. Seriously I wish all this madness would go away then I can get to see you all again.

Stay safe girls, do what you think is right for yourself, and I love yawl. Xx
94 br Afternoon girls, it’s been a beautiful autum... (show quote)

That was good of the train. Here they would stick everyone on a bus when the train is cancelled.
Our Christmas plans have all been cancelled due to the omicron. We will probably do a porch visit to share a cup of coffee or tea, but we won't be gathering all together until the weather is warm and we can all be together safely outside. So we will have Christmas in July (probably with barbequed turkey )
Enjoy your Christmas lunch.

I know exactly how you feel about covid, just when you think it might be a bit safe to venture out in comes a new variant and new restrictions being brought in. The way this one is spreading so fast I can see trouble ahead. xx

Our epidemiologist expert says it won't be over until everyone in the world can be vaccinated. He predicted another 2 years.
We are still waiting approval for our plant based vaccine. Canada has already said that all the product will be going out of the country because we have enough vaccine in freezers for every one here.

The keys on that bike (1992) could lock the ignition or you could turn the bike off and on without a key if it was not locked. That day neither of the guys locked their bikes. Now the ignitions are the same, but you have to have a fob on you to start the bike even if it is unlocked.

Morning from my gray, cloudy, ugly corner of the world. Nothing good is happening today and nothing good will happen tomorrow. Nothing to look forward to this week except a doctor appointment on Tuesday. That is really nothing to look forward to but it is all I got. Very sick of covid and sometimes it just gets me down. Now onward and upward because being depressed about it is no help to anyone. Now picking up my knitting to make the second fingerless mitt for an order. Knitting is uplifting and I am so thankful I know how and have a large stash of yarn to play with.

And when that yarn runs out, you can always order more and have it delivered. The one delivery that never seems to fail is yarn.

Morning. Hoping you get your chore accomplished. Lovely to receive the cards, but a chore to write them.

Mum just finished with her cards. She puts letters and pictures in her envelopes and they cost $5 to post because they are overweight.
My aunt in Iowa won't get her's until at least a week after Christmas. I'm sure she'll enjoy the letter and pictures.
