Good afternoon. Our snow dump last night gave us 5 extra inches. Must be a 18 inches in area's that haven't been touched. The snow plow plugged the end of the driveway real good this time... and heavy. The gods are good, a bobcat with a bucket took care of the driveway for me. Dawg thinks he's a snow plow, made me snicker.
The rest of the day will be a do nothing afternoon. Lots of tea. oxoxox

Today I’ve had temperature 100 then 99 then 98.4. Slept a lot on and off. both hands but mostly the right hand burned like neuropathy. Neck ached. Have I complained enough? Hoping to feel better tomorrow.

Hope you are feeling better today Polly. xoxox

I know an island just off Nova Scotia that has winter weather like England. Snow is rare there. Unfortunately, they don't have the warmest summers either.
Check out Cape Sable Island, (not Sable Island with the ponies, this one is attached to the mainland with a causeway.)
Hopefully your snow will melt soon.

I'll have a peek.. xox

Port Hope doesn't feel like a seaside village. Now Cobourg next door is a VERY typical seaside town. The waterfront is lovely. You can't even find the waterfront in Port Hope unless you live here.
Port Hope is an old mill town that got stuck in time. All the mills and riverside factories are gone now, replaced by riverside parks. The downtown is one of the best preserved in Ontario. Over the last few years, a subdivision has been built to the west of the downtown that doubled the size of Port Hope and we have had growing pains because of that.
We still have some of the heaviest polluting factories close to the lake, which is why no one goes to our waterfront.

It looks like a lovely spot with the link description. Mr J always wanted to take me back to his province to show me it's beautiful. Sadly we never made it. So I appreciate your sharing! xox

Can you hang an external harddrive off the Mac? Might make it easier to transfer data from one machine to the other. I'm assuming that both are AppleOS. If one is AppleOS and the other is WindowsOS, an external harddrive won't help.

I did that Mav, it's just the drive sizes are different, and I was only able to transfer 40GB instead of 450GB of data. I'll try to move the odd files with a flash drive.

It seems to go through phases, DH switches the heat on when he gets up and it goes for a couple of hours and then switches off, I start feeling cold, feel the radiators and they are cool, usually just turn the thermostat down then up again and it goes, it took a bit more persuading today. xx

I still think you miss your logs.. real heat! xoxox

It looks like you’ve all been busy chatting on here. ThTs nice. Today when I got up it was white frost all over, and the sky was heavy. So I thought 💭 I’d better decide what I’m doing about provisions. I looked at Albert photograph on the wall, and said, why aren’t you here to take me to the shops, I didn’t get an answer as usual. However a little voice in my own head said, I should go there sooner than later, so I went at 11am instead of noon.

I got there and some of the shelves were totally bare. I substituted, and managed anyway, there were lots of staff trying to pack up shelves. It looked to me that they’d had a delivery 🚚. Cashier helped me pack, they are so kind in asdas. I got my coffees so I’ll last a while. When I came out of the 🏬 it was snowing heavens hard and I could hardly see in front of me. Where I live I have 3 very steep banks 🏦 to fight with and it’s common in the winter to close them. They get so dangerous very quickly. But I was brave and came home carefully and I’m fine. So now, I can eat and hibernate. Brrrrr.

I’m getting such enjoyment out of my sudoku books 📕 I’m a happy grandma 👵 however…..In the morning I shall have to clean my fridge out because if I leave it any longer. It will get up and walk away. Stay safe girls, love yawl. Xx

My Heidi lab used to do the same with me. When she was a puppy she used to shred one of them to pieces and always Left the other slipper alone….she wasn’t particular if it was left or right

Did she grow out of it? I hope she alternated so you could buy a new pair and get sets again.
