For some reason, I’ve never felt like I could afford tattoo. Not enough time, not enough money. It is a free country, though. I just don’t understand tattoos. I’ve always been focused on what is in a person’s mind, not on their skin.

That stuff turns my stomach. I’m too old (75) to change my opinion.

Different "pokes" for different folks.

Well done photos although I’m cowering here looking at them. Obviously I’m in the older crowd!

I feel the same on both points. My daughter and all her friends have (tastefully modest) tattoos but I just can't see the reasoning behind this bunch. I guess I now know how my parents felt back in the late '60's when my friends and I sported long hair! Of course long hair was easily modified or changed as styles changed. Tattoos not so much.

Realize that tattoos have been around for millenias and that it can be an artform but it's particularly trendy right now. But trends come and go but tattoos are kind of permanent that you'll always have to live with. Suppose they could be removed but the cure is far worse than the original process. I'm also surprised at most people's choice of subject matter. I don't consider skulls, sharp jagged shapes or odd images of people to be artistic. And people who do their own tattoos really don't get it. Just wonder why people would choose to do that to themselves. That being said, my daughter got a small frog tattooed on her ankle several years ago so there's that too.

Now that I've vented my thoughts on tattoos, nice job capturing the process.

Yes I'm 75 no tats but the younger generation thought this old dude was his on man I was the only one in the place photographing, but in all things you have to have an understanding of what's going on.
