Took a photo course one topic was portraits I saw the tattoo convention and went to it cold police circled the convention center everyone was checked for weapons before you got in. At 75 I was the oldest person by 35 years!
Ihad to form a plan as lighting poor was 1/8 to 1/2 exposure wide open. it was crowded. Anyway here are 10 from that visit it was a lot of fun and everyone was extremely friendly.

Well done PAR4DCR considering the conditions you were working under. You have given some of us "elders" a rare glimpse of an art form with some terrific artists. Cool on you for waltzing in and making photographs.

An interesting and well executed set. I guess - if I'd wanted to be branded, I'd have asked to be born a cow. Talk about gilding the Lilly, when attractive women get tats. Unarmed, within the law, not ever. I always pass on that.

I went to a tattoo convention years ago. You see some very different people and art work. Also you will see implants and piercings. You could also buy the temporary tats to see if you like it. Me???? no way. There are also people there who fix messed up ink.

That stuff turns my stomach. I’m too old (75) to change my opinion.

I am 74 and would never do that to myself. However, I have friends with lots of tats, I see the person not the artwork. Also, the colored tats fade overtime and need to be redone. I could not handle the pain.

Excellent set. Amazing artistry displayed. I think this type of body adornment is often to these younger folks what jewelry was to the older generations.

I hate tattoos but do love your photographs of them. Well done.
