Thank you Joe, in order to get get shots, you need good subjects, and I certainly found these here on that stage!

Joe, these are marvelous photos. It’s difficult to capture sharp pics when people are in motion and it’s dark. You did well!!
The reflective floor fascinates me. Was it highly polished or a mirror?

Thank you Ellen. I have to admit, I am quite happy with these photos, it was really pretty much the first time I tried something like that and it worked. Yes, that reflective floor also helped in giving me the chance to create some interesting compositions. To be honest: I have no idea what the floor was, I wasn't really that close, probably about a dozen or more rows back - and this was eight years back, so recall isn't that specific anymore!

Joe, your photos certainly show what a full frame camera can do in low light with motion!

Well, that's what is the really interesting thing of what you might not be aware: the D90 is not a full frame camera, it has a cropped sensor and while of course it is able to record in raw, I was still shooting jpeg at that time - and dare I mention it, I will probably be crucified here at this site for that heresy: I was most likely shooting in Automatic mode!!! So: cropped sensor camera, shot in jpeg, using automatic, handheld, very minimal processing in Picasa - what can I say?
