Please, everyone. Please forgive me that I forgot to mention that I used a preset of mine that I use in Lightroom that adjusts clarity, saturation and vibrancy. I think this accounts for the extra smoothness of her face.

Here is another photo of her where I know I did not use that preset.

This girl just naturally photographs very well.

One can tell the difference in the download.

Very nice work. The time you spent was well worth it.
Thank you! I spent a way lot more time typing this than doing the actual work. Lol.

[quote=Stephan G]There is the silent "S" in K-I-S-S-[S]. It stands for "Stop", which you did in your selection. You "Stopped" when you got to the end. Many of us often go beyond this point.

Good work with great result.

Contrary to popular opinion expressed so far - I think your portrait shows not only the desired soft focus but a cloudiness that spoils it. I downloaded your download and then uploaded it to Affinity ( imho a far better app). Using just the filters (haze) tab it took a moment to produce the attached - I like it better - but what do you think? I guess we all have different ideas and likes and dislikes? Happy New Year. Del.

Yes, I tend to agree with you, Del. And also, I think you got the sweatshirt better than what I ended up with. I recall that her sweatshirt was a bit darker; maybe not as dark as you made it out to be (but I like it), and I think you got the letters spot on. I only know this because I asked her as to what the caption meant. She told me that this was the place that her brother works. It is a marijuana dispensary. Go figure. Thanks, Del!

Looks like the nitpickers have decided to target you today. Her hair looks exactly the same in the finished version as the original. The skin is just as smooth in both. Why wouldn’t it, she’s a baby - relatively speaking of course. I have granddaughters older than her.
Nice work πŸ‘πŸ‘
Yeah, I noticed this but I have absolutely no problem with this sort of thing. They are simply pointing out things that they see and are expressing their thoughts. No problem. When I first joined UHH, I really sucked at most things and I was nitpicked to death. One can always learn from other's comments.

Here is the weird part; it may even blow your mind. It did mine! This lady is in her early 30's. When she told me this, you could see my jaw drop and hear it when it hit the floor! Married and has two children. I met her a couple of years ago when she first came over to cut my sons' hair.

I don't know about the original maker of the image, but I prefer his version.

As I said, I have granddaughters her age - one with 3 kids, one with 2. So, to me she’s a baby. πŸ‘

Great work Tom. I LIKE that her hair is neat!!! Now days too many "ladies" let their hair go stringy or dirty or both. Nice hair is always a bonus!!! She's a pretty lady and she should be very proud of your work!

It was pretty amazing, Jo! I knew she was very pretty from meeting her before. She is actually a little thing. I asked her if I could take her picture when she was finished cutting my sons' hair and she said yes. Got the camera and quietly waited. She was wearing a pony tail during the hair cutting. I then sat her down on the stool and I knew the pony tail wasn't going to cut it for me (no pun intended). I just knew there had to be more there. Without saying a word, she pulled out the hairband and plop! There it all was! Extremely beautiful. Kind of like Rapunzel. Started shooting and the rest is history.

Did I also mention that she is a master Electrician? Ha, ha!
