The Jordan River flows north to south through the Salt Lake Valley. The various municipalities have coordinated efforts to create a paved and improved path along the river in the middle of a largely suburban area. Our dogs love hiking here because of the level path and multitude of smells. Last Friday was a wonderful, clear fall day. We took them out for two hours, walking the Jordan River Trail between 114th and 126th and back.

As with many hikes in our area, each time you do there is something different to see. This time the migrant birds had not returned, there was no spring growth and snow was not present, but the shades and tones of fall were every where.

Suggestions and comments are welcome.

“Down the river looking west” is certainly a favorite of mine

Your crew wasn't focused on the wildlife, with those wonderful views and company!
Great set Mike!! Maybe they would have been attentive, were you in danger...🤣😂😁

Great images of that beautiful area. I do have to call you out for reversing the flow of the Jordan River from South to North to North to South. I always take a great interest in rivers of any kind. Love your two pics of the Jordan.

Thanks for the visit. The Jordan River flows from north of Salt Lake City into Utah Lake at the south end of the Salt Lake Valley. Where did you get information to the contrary?

Thanks for looking, Rob. I am afraid that I am on my own unless I point out the danger.

Excellent series! I think my favorite is "Down the River". The composition works well and the distant mountains are beautiful!

Thanks, Carol, I had to put my camera up over the fence and use the lcd screen to shoot that one.

Excellent and enjoyable series Mike, especially like ‘looking east’ and the pussy cat!

Very nice Mike. Is the river canoe-able?

Kayaks are what you see the most. The last season was so bad that only a few of those were in evidence.
