Some good photos. Not all photos will be perfect as far as noise goes. Did you try any noise reduction in post, LR,PS or Topaz Denoise. You will most likely loose some fine line detail like in the hair /fur but, then you can decide which you prefer.
I really like the second one. The back lighting makes ait a good portrait.
Awwww! I want one! This is an excellent set of photos! I truly enjoyed them!

Really enjoyed viewing these pics. Guess the dogs didn't roll over for a tum rub.
Great shots - thanks for sharing!

Back from Zimbabwe. These are the only wild dogs we saw. Not the greatest photos for several reasons. First too much brush and sticks. Second, I was having issues getting a sharp photo. This is with the Canon R5 and 100-500mm lens. (Accidentally set on crop mode...)
I am so open to suggestion on how to get sharper less grainy photos. I know the ISO was a little high for some, I was anticipating action... Plus it seems with the R5 I need a higher shutter speed than with the 5D4. Perhaps I over did it on the ISO?
These have all been worked on in LR and Topaz DeNoise.

Great set of images!!!!!Beth
I don't feel that everything has to be tack sharp if the only way you can get the shot is a higher iso. The lighting and dog's expressions make all the difference in these photos. I like them.
Nice series. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the last one.
Excellent shots, yes, there are a lot of sticks and brush. Most of that can be removed with cloning and healing in PS. Some local adjustments might also be in order on some of the images but, you spent a lot of money and got some great shots. Don't denigrate them, fix them.
Impressive animals and photography!!

I think they are all very good captures. You might try brightening them up a bit but it isn't really necessary.
I love them! You really captured the essence of these beautiful creatures!

Don’t be so hard on yourself, Photolady. This is a very good series. But you brought up a point that annoys the hell out me everytime I am guilty of it:
“ … set on crop mode.”
As mainly a street photographer, I have tried to train myself every morning when I grab a camera for that first outing to check ALL of its settings. I do not want to think about the number of shots I’ve missed because of something I had changed yesterday was not ready for today.
You got that right!!! I had crop mode set to a button that I think got pressed. Changed that right away!!!!
I think you captured some beauties here. Great set of big round eared dogs.
